Success is not built on success. It's built on failure, It's built on frustration. it's built on fear that you have to overcome. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

You know, I thought this video was going to be some rich asshole telling us to just "spend less" and "work harder". But coming from the end of a spiritual/philosophical phase in my life to now trying to find my way and where I belong in the economic/business side of the world, I think this man truly gave the perfect "middle-ground" speech between business and spirituality/philosophy. This is the perfect video for anyone that is just about almost done with their "quarter-life crisis" / "reflecting phase" and is now trying to figure out what to do career-wise. Thank you for this video this was exactly what I needed. I don't think this comment will get read and will just get buried by the algorithm. But if you're reading this and you just finished watching this video, I hope you succeed in your endeavors!

My Dad used to say, "I don't care what they do, I only care what we do in our house." Many people are too busy looking at what their neighbors do. Sociologists call this "inner directed" vs "outer directed." This view has served me very well.

Here's the best advice: Do something. If you take no action, then all of this does not matter. All of the things I achieved in life is because I went out and did something, even though I might not have known exactly what I was doing at the time. There were many times I had to learn in "Real Time". Life gives you the exam first, and the lesson later. It's just like building muscle. You can read all the fitness books you want, but until you lift the weights, you will never get stronger or bigger.

I remember sitting down and looking across a small bay in the ocean. On the other side, beautiful multi million dollar homes. I thought to myself, I wonder how they made all this money? Then I said to someone who's close to me "I wonder what these people did to be able to afford these homes"? She replied "Selling drugs or they inherited it". I'm sure some of them did, but not all or even most of them probably. it opened my eyes to other people's viewpoint and I started noticing the negativity everywhere.

If you're the type of person who would answer the question in this way, you're never going to be financially successful.

To get rich in life, you need to spend less and invest more. You don't expect to spend 90%, invest 10% and sit to make more wealth,

I’d like to bring up another point. The harsh reality of the world is that only so many people can become wealthy. For an economy to exist, and thrive, you need many people doing the low level jobs that will never make anyone rich, and there’s a ton of these jobs (retail, factory, customer service, etc). These jobs make the world go round, but they’re not making anyone rich.

It is literally impossible for everyone to be rich. An economy can only sustain so many rich people. If everyone in a country were rich, it would collapse as nobody would do the basic work needed to perpetuate its existence.

I used to view being wealthy as the ultimate goal. But now I view the ultimate goal as this: get paid to do your passion. Sure you may not get rich, but getting paid to do what you actually like doing is worth everything in the world and more. Still working on this myself.

wow there is a lot to unpack here. a very clear and rational take on human values and success. Here are 3 things I jotted down.
1. Set goals that are congruent to your priorities and values - you will be more motivated and aware of opportunities + more resilience to pain & pleasure
2. Train yourself to do what you say - develop discipline and confidence + your small actions compound into bigger actions.
3. Procrastination is partially because a task seems to big and hasn't been broken down into immediate steps

Being successful don' t happen by magic Success is dependent on the action or steps you take to achieve it. Show me a man who doesn't have an investment and I will tell you how soon he'll go broke Investment is building a safe haven for the future: with the right choice of investment that has at least 1% minimum risk and with an Expert guidance, profit and interest should be 700 guaranteed.

I hate washing dishes, so to help me dealing with myself, I tell myself "Im just going to wash one, " then realize "that wasnt so bad" and do another and another untill the dishes get done. I guess the trick is to know that I am in control the entire time. I use that technique on all activities that I dont want to complete.
