Can of SPAM costs $4 from which you get 8 servings. Rice is about $1.50 a pound. Nori (seaweed sheets) are about 3 for a dollar. So 8 musubi would cost $6.50 in materials. 8 musubi would retail for $12. Profit $.50, notincluding labor and marketing. Still cheap. Healthier than hot dogs.

There aren't many people blessed with a catchphrase to use in order to weasle out of questions ;)

That is not the correct history of Musubi and it's almost an insult to the innocent Japanese people that were held in concentration camps to ignore their part in the history of Musubi. Had the Japanese never bombed Pearl Harbor Musubi wouldn't exist. It only came into existence AFTER Japanese prisoners of war in Hawaii saw how much the Hawaiians loved spam - so they were like "Dude, hold my Sake... watch this" and they did exactly what they are already known for... except with cooked spam instead of raw fish.
