I knew it! Monty Python's Spam sketch are connected with Spam Mail. I was a bit surprised about early Internet Nerds flooded the connects with Spam messages though. Thought it was just compaired with the Spam sketch due to the fact that Spam Mail tends to be repeating annoyance.

Spam was mentioned a lot that it's started to sound a bit different and weird.

Correction: According to the Spam website operated by Hormel, they can't explain where the name comes from. I highly doubt that it actually means "Spiced ham, " since Spam doesn't have any spice in it (at least not to my knowledge). Although I've heard that claim before, I still take it with a grain of salt (or more likely several spoonfuls, since that's what goes into Spam.)
