In this video, I share advice that could change your life. The difference between alive time and dead time helped people like Ryan Holiday take better ownership of their day-to-day lives.

Robert Greene is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of Seduction, The 33 Strategies of War, The 50th Law, Mastery, The Laws of Human Nature, and most recently, The Daily Laws.

He's right. Everything we go through in life is meant to teach us something. We just have to be wise enough to learn the lesson(s) so that we don't repeat the same mistake(s) in the future.

Learn something from everything you come across, instead of getting lost in your own head. Pretend you're an alien experiencing life on earth, everything can teach you something about this world, don't assume you know it all already, cuz you don't. Truly valuable advice. Thank you so much.

This is great. I love the fact that this is something we can do, that it's an option. Easy to forget though, you get stuck into habitual automatic ways of thinking or perceiving, but then someone like Robert reminds you of this amazing capability you have. To see anything from any angle, even one that benefits you.

This is great advice. At times we can find ourselves in a situation where we can only guess how we ended up here. T hat feeling of being stuck because this isn't what you wanted rendering you closed off to everything that is happening around you. It is only when we perceive things as a learning opportunity that we notice that every negative (or positive) experience can hide a lesson within. It is up to you to start listening.

I'm so grateful I came across this video. I've been very self conscious about dropping out of college to support my family for the past 2 years (Mainly because of missing out on the social aspect of it and watching my former classmates doing fun things at college makes it even worse). However, having work experiences with other colleagues has taught me so much about human nature and I've always turned my eyes away from that aspect of it. I'm learning. And I'm grateful.

In order to learn faster, one thing that I think is essential is feedback.

Simply repeating the same mistake again and again will not make you learn, we need to ask ourselves "how could I do it better ?"

Also positive feedback is important
