The fact the entire Mantis village bow to you out of respect when you beat the 3 Lords made them my favourite boss. That kind of acknowledgement is such a cool detail. And I usually hate bosses that have several characters hitting you at the same time.

I like how each of them had a different personality- the darkest blue was the most aggressive in her lyrics, while the lightest seemed to be the most philosophical.

I love the “mantises stand against the light” as a reference to the fact that they are imune to the infection.

That's just where my mind went when I heard that line: straight to the Margit flashbacks. A great song for honestly my favorite boss(es) in Hollow Knight.

It's absolutely aweing how you designed the lyrics to have all three Mantis Lords sing different parts that weave in and out of each other, making the song just as intricate as the battle.

Last week when the hornet song was released, i was playing hollow knight and was trying to beat the bosses from moti’s songs this to the songs. Hornet sentinel, and Lost kin were no trouble. Nkg and Grey prince Zote were difficult. But beating the sisters of battle in just over a minute was near impossible. Now i can probably do it. Thank you Moti.

Well seems my theory of "Shell within the void" being in every song was wrong. Or it's just because the mantis lord doesn"t really have much of a connection to the Pale King.
Either way nice song, nice lyrics, nice voices, nice harmonies. Was especially impressed with both artworks for this one!

It is my headcanon in this song that the different shades of blue also show the ages of each mantis lord, the darkest blue being the oldest singing, and cyan being the youngest singing.

And having Hollow telling their sibling

or something similar would basically perfect the trifecta of sibling lines!
