Are whole grains healthy, or are these grains destroying your brain? Many people say whole grains are healthy for you but are they really? Most whole grains contain gluten. Gluten is a protein in certain grains—especially wheat.

People typically associate gluten with digestive problems. However, there is another condition related to gluten that’s destroying your brain. It’s called gluten ataxia.  Gluten ataxia is a lack of voluntary coordination of muscle movement. It is an autoimmune disease triggered by gluten that destroys the cerebellum. Only 10% of the time do people have GI symptoms. 40 % of people have GI damage, but only 10% show symptoms. Once your cerebellum is damaged, it’s very difficult to reverse the damage.

Gluten ataxia can cause problems with:

• Gait - balance
• Speech
• Eyes
• Posture

1st symptoms of gluten ataxia:
• Decreased focus
• Brain fog
• Mood disorder
• Cognitive decline

Consider not consuming grains for this reason and try healthy keto.  Another thing to keep in mind is that even though there may not be gluten in the grains, you still have grains. Those grains will turn to sugar fast and spike insulin, which can create a lot of other problems. It's me understanding that also the problem with gluten is Round-up (glyphosate) which is sprayed on wheat crops is concentrated in the gluten part of the plant. Called a "gluten intolerance" is better described as glyphosate poisoning.

Ironically I’ve been eating yogurt or eggs for months every morning and felt sharp as a tack, lately I’ve been having whole grain waffles and I feel some weird cognitive decline. I just put 2 and 2 together and go figure this video hit it right on the head.

Why did I tell my neurologist to check me for this and he rolled his eyes and said it’s just easy to blame everything on gluten.
Thanks Dr Berg for telling all the other “specialists” that this is what I have.
Eye opening info as always.

Since I reached my keto weight goal (5'8" / 145 lbs), 3 weeks ago, I have found:
1. I have gotten higher testosterone, becoming more witty, outgoing, and yes, more aggressive in my work and play. Like I was 20 years ago. Now, I have to watch that to control it.
2. I've been able to experiment with foods, and carb limits, more freely then when I was on strict keto, but I still weigh, measure, step count, and evaluate every single day.
3. My brain, seems to work better. I normally use daily check lists, to-do lists, photos, and calendar reminders every day. Lately, I haven't needed them so much to stay organized, and avoid wasted time, travel and effort.
4. Thanks to Creators, like Dr. Berg, I've learned, and am learning, a lot more about how my body works and responds to various internal, and external, inputs and stimuli.

I've had all of those symptoms (including digestive issues) without ANY grain consumption. Been on Paleo since 2010 and still went down hill. Stiff, old, tired joints, severe brain fog, no energy and trying to have a focused conversation with anyone for longer than a minute was like being on Mission Impossible. After finding your videos and clearing all of this up (can't say 'cure' because you didn't cure me, I healed myself legally and on my own), I came to the conclusion that frequent eating and insulin resistance was the culprit. Grains possibly speed this up and destroy people's bodies quicker.

If you listen to guys like this I’m not really sure what you would wind up eating. I can’t think of one food these guys don’t pick apart and find some astronomically rare condition to attribute it to 😂😂😂😂

This is depressing. It appears that all foods eventually lead to illness, decay, and finally death. Darn.

I think a more balanced view would be more appropriate. Rather than always demonising gluten and pushing Keto I think it would have been better to indicate that there are different types of gluten for each of the grains, and whether any of the grains are more of a problem than others. A reference to a study(s) would be beneficial rather than try and state it as a fact.
In the same way grains will cause a sugar spike, but it is different for each one - a simple graph could be used to demonstrate the differences between the grains and a sample of other foods.
I think it would be better to make the podcasts slightly longer and more comprehensive, rather than only tell half the story. By telling a more complete story the viewer is able to make a more educated view of the content and more importantly, judge the extent it could affect them.

This makes sense!!! I had gluten this week and I was almost stumbling and couldn’t walk straight! I also can’t think of words and more! Makes perfect sense! We’re all going to be done with Gluten once and for all.

Interesting how there are people here defending bread and saying it’s healthy to have 3-4 slices a day.
YOU DONT NEED BREAD!

I think dr. Berg just helped me realize through this “remote diagnosis” that I might have the ataxia... had brain fog since my childhood. About a year ago I was incapable of things most people consider normal functions. In January I started keto and IF. I can think so much more clearly, better memory.. THANK

Cerebral ataxia in my patient Zoe (a nine-year-old female Irish Setter) has an etiological root in the long-term diet of industrial dry dog food full of cereals. Thank you for this wonderful lecture on expanding the etiology of cerebellar ataxia in both humans and dogs. Best regards!

This is absolute nonsense. This guy is taking a very rare condition and pretending everyone who eats whole grain bread is going to get it. That’s not even good enough to be called junk science.

I don't eat any grains. They make me feel horrible. Keto and Intermittent fasting is the way to go.
