Since Switching from the Galaxy S23 Ultra from the iPhone 14 Pro Max, I've had a lot of thoughts about my decision. It's sometimes been difficult since I've left my iPhone 14 Pro Max and in this review, I will be showing why the Galaxy S23 Ultra also has its cons.

What I love about S23 is the proper file system and the ability to just plug it in a PC and use it as a flash drive. The universal back gesture is also a lifesaver, on the iPhone I need extreme hand gymnastics to navigate around.

I did the opposite, I went from the 14 pro max to the s23 ultra and couldnt be happier. I am free from ios prison and I have felt that unless you are completely embedded in the apple ecosystem you are not getting the most fruitful experience with an iphone. I like the freedom and tinker-ability of the android phones, just my take. The majority of this is just subjective anyway.

The reason why social media companies prioritize iPhones is not only because iPhone is the only phone with IOS, but also just the fact that social media is all an iPhone user needs. All they need is social media, selfies and some swag. And they're satisfied with their $1k+ device.

So basically it's iPhone for the States and Samsung for the rest of the world 😂😂😂

If only Apple would support RCS to make cross platform messaging better for all users. Instea, they'd rather keep the ancient SMS system and have Apple users believe that Android is at fault. Similar to how app developers lazily designed their apps for Android phones and had iPhone users believing that Android cameras were shit lol.

I use both an iPhone and Pixel daily, but as I grow older and text less, I'm starting to realize that iMessage was the only reason I was still with my iPhone. Also mainly because I actively avoided buying into the Apple ecosystem and used Google/Microsoft instead. So I have the freedom to use whichever device I want and carry my data between platforms without the limitations of Apple's software suite.

In my opinion, my s23 ultra is far superior. I used to have an iPhone 6s many years ago and for me even until the 14 pro max Apple is simply too boring for me . Samsung innovation and capabilities have astonished me for years until today they are way more fun to use

Seems like the real issue is Apple restricting imessage to their devices. Otherwise, the locked down restricted OS is not worth it unless you are deeply integrated with all Apple stuff with your mac and ipad as well. Imessage can eaisly be a paid app on Google play, but they want you to purchase an entire phone for it.

I have the S23 Ultra and 13 pro max. I go back n forth about once a week. Drawbacks for the ultra, animations, android auto. Positives: gboard, customization, screen, Google integration, notifications are so much better, battery is insanely good, zoom lenses. Receptions is much better. I don't social media much as in taking pictures. Negatives to iphone: apple music, YouTube and the Bluetooth experience is ABSOLUTE TRASH! Certain apps hijack my car's Bluetooth. Iphone overheats very easily while in my car around 80%. iMessage (it's great but it doesnt play well witu android on purpose and that's nutty af to me). Lack of zoom capabilities on the camera. Inability to customize YOUR phone. Modem is weak. I want to put my apps where I want without it having to populate from top to bottom, can't interact with the widgets, no dedicate swipe back feature, no universal clipboard... Positives: some apps work a bit better, and the ecosystem. Thats why apple tries to lock you in. The phone is mid but imessage and the ecosystem is really good

i switched from apple to samsung and i really miss the quality over social media pictures and videos, it's bizarre how it's very well improved for apple while on android it seems like you're taking a picture from a 2012 phone, hope someday android will have the same quality as ios

Switched to IPhone in 2022 after having Android since 2008. I love iOS beta testing, ecosystem, customer service, community, endless accessories

If you can switch from Android to iOS and back, then you're missing nothing. As for me there are features exclusive to Android which prevents me from making the switch to iOS. I need Dex and for that single feature I'm tied to the Samsung ecosystem for the time being.

Gboard is a must for any android device. Makes typing and swiping almost flawless. Samsung quick share is they way to go texting ios users, but apple users can't do the same. It's beyond annoying ios can't return the favor.

The real issue with the camera optimization for social media apps is that there's basically only 1 phone camera they have to use and optimize vs all the different androids with all quality levels of cameras. That the real reason for the longest time apps where just using screenshots of what the phone was seeing and not actually taking a Photo.

If Apple had the cameras like Samsung (in terms of zoom and detailing with zoom) they would def control the whole market

I love how yall say iphone video to samsung/Android look blurry but samsung to samsung videos are just fine so the problem is apple amd iphones. I get Android to Android videos and pics and everything is fine. Noting bout my s23 ultra is behide any iphone on the market.

Not gonna lie, every year that passes I'm further and further leaning into the Apple ecosystem (except for their PC hardware). I somehow always tend to prefer how their photos look, the reliability and app optimization on the iPhone. Everyhing just looks so simple clean. Yet, I somehow get pulled in the android direction cus I love being able to customise everything, and while iPhones have gotten very customizable to this day, side loading apps has be useful to me a few times. I was originally looking to get the S24 ultra when it launches but we'll see I suppose
