This is the only channel that me and my 3 year old GENUINELY both enjoy. she calls him "The cooking man" and will randomly come up to meand say " I want to watch the cooking man with you. It really encourages me to cook with her more when I see how excited she gets watching the videos.

I've always loved cooking, but as a single guy never really cooked for myself much as it felt like a lot for just me. Now that I'm in a relationship, and have been cooking for my girlfriend and trying new recipes, your channel and the videos on it have become incredibly invaluable to me! Thanks for helping me get better in the kitchen and inspiring me to cook outside of the box.

I liked that you explained the reason for the salt on the potatoes — to pull out the water — vs just to intensify flavour. For those of us who need sodium reduced diets, it’s helpful to know where it’s optional vs essential

Banana pancakes FTW! this seriously changed my life. i’ve been making pancakes for years, always following a recipe and measuring quantities. Your method of wet and adding dry until it feels/looks right is what i’ve been missing. and banana as the sweet element is genius. thank you Mike!

More 15-minute breakfast ideas!! This series came at a perfect time. My mom and I were just talking about being more committed to meal prep, especially for breakfast. Eating out is becoming very expensive, especially with a family of five! Thanks so much for the content 🙂

What I love about your videos is that you don't give out instructions like a cookbook, rather you explain principles and provide ideas on how we can customize our meals to our taste. A big thank you for your videos, I was inspired from you to customize your dishes and improvise new recipes just by watching your videos. I love how you bring a fresh twist to recipes that I already made in the past. Much love from Romania.

I hate to ruin the fact that this video has the perfect number of comments (420!) but I have to say thank you. Seriously. Your videos have helped kickstart my passion for cooking in so many ways. Oddly enough, this new hobby is also starting to fix my massively disorganized life. Thanks to you, I’ve been learning the importance of having a clean cooking environment and of keeping everything organized. And now I’m starting to change my schedule around bc I’m excited to get out of bed and try these breakfast recipes. That’s huge bc it means I might start developing time management skills, a lack of which has plagued me my entire life. If that works out I’ll also have time to prepare my lunch and snacks for work using the ingredients / leftovers I keep stocked up religiously. So yeah. You’ve changed my life in some big ways. I really can’t thank you enough. Stay great.

Made the banana pancakes for breakfast. My husband can't stop chanting 'so good!' over and over. Simple and delicious. Thank you!

These banana pancakes will be perfect for my baby. Her pancake obsession is REAL. I started following you when I first found out I was pregnant about 2 years ago, it used to be an in joke that I cooked everything out of the microwave 🥴 The amount of compliments I get on my cooking now is crazy, and I don't feel so guilty about what I'm putting in my body or my baby's 💕

Been making banana pancakes since my first child was old enough to eat them (about 51 yrs ago). So happy you’re promoting them. I’ve also added quick oats to the batter for a bit of texture.

I've watched you off and on over my entire homestead transition to keep things a little closer to home. From baking my own sourdough, fermenting my own kraut, and trying to keep things spicy in the kitchen and your videos always add great value to my simple little life.

Next on my list is getting my own chickens. I already have a small food farm. I'm definitely making those pancakes with my son.

If I had a youtube channel, I'd probably do the exact same type of videos. I would never want to be a personality on tv, but I enjoy your personality. Thank you for contributing to my kitchen life. It's always a pleasure.

Those pancakes can be made even easier. Blend oats in a blender until flowery, then add banana and milk and blend again. Can add the fruits when you fry them, but they're also good without and just a little icing sugar on top.
The second dish can be made thinner and wider and is called raggmunk here in Sweden, but instead of the sauerkraut, you use lingonberry jam for the tanginess!

Also sidenote, finally an American using cheddar that isn't orange LOL

Perfect timing, I’m trying to figure out what to make for breakfast today.

UPDATE: I made the Breakfast Hash with fried eggs (which was the original plan in the video) & chives rather than poached eggs & sauerkraut. It turned out great.

Ohhh thanks for diversifying the 15 min series! I feel like quick meals are the best, but making them delicious and nutritious can be challenging, so thanks for the help ✨😊

Your honesty is the best! When something doesn’t work out perfectly you just keep on rolling, it’s awesome. Please keep this series going! Cant wait to try these recipes out.

“..And we’re not talking the overnight oats. None of that bullshit.” Lol mike gets me

I appreciate the fact he's transparent and also slightly messy, as any home cook would be. Nobody likes plastic flowers as they say, so the honest, down to earth approach to cooking makes it refreshingly wholesome in my opinion. Well done.

I couldn't eat oatmeal for 20+ years. When I found out about soaking overnight, it allowed me to be able to metabolize oatmeal again. It's not just trendy. Thanks for being real.
