It’s bc with banwaves you can have moments with a low amount of cheaters, without them you will just always have a permanent cheater community that never goes away. Look at sieges mousetrap detection system, real-time updates for whether or not your cheat software is working 😂

Although waiting for Ban waves sucks, it's honestly better because of one reason. It keeps the anticheat more effective. If they did live bans, the devs of said cheat software can get reports and more live information, allowing them to fix their software with a few tweaks. But with ban waves, it's hurts Cheat Software devs more. Imagine getting about 3000 players to buy your software, cheat with it, then they all get banned, blame ur software, and request refunds. They lose large amounts of money this way, and new cheat software devs end up closing shop because of this. Leaving mostly the larger cheat softwares going on to be dealt with.

As thor from Pirate Software said, banwaves happen because it leaves the cheaters and cheat makers scrambling to figure out how you detected the cheat. If you ban them as soon as you detect cheating it'll be much easier for them to tell what got them banned and change it.

I saw a Bap do this, but he got them down to 1 and let someone else get the kill to keep himself off of killcams.

I get that banwaves help devs to not let the creators of the cheats know how they were detected, but this is BLATANT and all you need are eyes to see this guy is cheating. If they were more subtle cheats I'd get it but come on... ban the guy with 95%+ headshot accuracy and the l9ck on system of Terminator

Just ran into a Reaper that's a KNOWN cheater and has been doing it for well over a month now and still not banned. I understand they wanna do stuff in waves but holy shit I really don't wanna touch Overwatch for a while now. I need a Deadlock invite.

Between COD and overwatch. The cheating is insane, how can they not handle this? This should be number one priority.

now maybe banning cheaters should make exceptions for people like this, but banning predominantly in waves is a VERY important aspect of fighting cheaters. but it must be said, Blizzard has done far too little to combat cheating, it's gotten way too common and way too obvious.

Btw, I’ve been falsely banned on 3 different accounts for hacking, with no chance for appeal. Yet this guy can hit rank 1 while hardlocking, and probably gets reported every game. How is blizzard so incompetent.

The truth is if you want these guys to get banned report him for misgendering you or hate speech, that will get an account banned way faster than reporting for cheating, it's what I've been doing for a long time, the chances I get that player suspended notification jumps by like 50% I've even tested it on another account
