Regrets…. Similarly to furniture, he doesn’t have any.

Minimalism is the way to go!
I LOVE MINIMALISM!
Life is so much easier.
Like with laundry, cleaning and doing dishes as well as saving money!

it does not have to be zero items or extreme minimalism...as the name suggests... minimalism...not having nothing but just having what you need.

I thought he was saying "I don't have anything"

Maybe: Why didn't I start decluttering much earlier? Or: Why did I ever accumulate so much stuff?

Pro tip: You can "give" your tools to a family member for free. Then if you need it again you can borrow it from them for free. Plus then they get to use it for free. Everybody wins.

The space feels so comfortable and free. 😌

Mine is the amount of space that is sitting idle. Which goes to show how much little space you need to live a decent life

I'm a quasi minimalist. But I gotta have art on the walls. Otherwise it feels like a prison.

i maybe got rid of one or 2 things my family said ohh i could of used that.
Other than like a car most items you can get for $20 in under 20 minutes.
Too much stuff you don't know what you have an end up buying multiple of something you have. One time my mom and i cleaned we have 14 nail clippers.

The only thing for me is not having company over. All I own is some vinyl records and a Matress and I love it!

Genuine question though, what’s the point of living in anything larger than a studio (or a tiny home) if you only have basic necessities? It always seems like an unnecessary expense to either rent or purchase a large space if there’s nothing in it because people usually only upgrade their homes when they have plans to use the extra space. I think the only people who would get use out of an empty room are dancers tbh, otherwise all the emptiness seems pointless.

I'm a pretend minimalist working toward becoming a real minimalist. Everything I own fits in my bedroom. My fear is that I'll get rid of things and soon after will need them.

Minimalism, at a certain point, becomes selfish. And it becomes more and more about ego.

To be honest once I moved out of the house this would be me lol I don't like to go out shopping unless it's for food.

I watch those renovation shows and see all their STUFF, it is beautiful, but the upkeep is too much!
I much prefer and think your place is LOVELY, BEAUTIFUL and has an nice AIRY look.

Thanks for sharing.
You are an inspiration to others.

I've been through one huge round of decluttering (about 4 years ago) and I have - NOT - ONE - TIME - thought "Man I wish I still had "x' item"

Nevertheless, my attachment to possessions FEELS so strong... until they're gone.

Doing my second major round of reducing possessions right now (I'm moving from Texas to New Mexico) and this simple short is actually helping me stay confident about my decisions :)
