I love this, 99% of games would've just summoned a second horn out of thin air and given it to you and acted like nothing.

The mistake in this case was to assume that the ogre is an idiot like his friends. But this one actually has intelligence worth of note.

it makes sense sound the horn does nothing because they may not know their horn was stolen.

Bethesda game design "You can't steal from this person at this time."

it sucks that you cannot steal the diadem that sets his intelligence to 19, thats why hes so smart out of the 3

Wish we could steal his circlet and he got dumb all of a sudden.

In the githyanki creche hatchery, you should try crushing the githyanki egg stealthy by using Darkness or Fog Cloud spell BEFORE speaking to the hatchery master guy, the reaction dialogue from him afterward is pretty funny.

I stole the horn, and when he found out it was stolen he said the same thing about knowing who did it. But then he and his other two trolls just ran off.

Daym this ogre is smarter than 99% of the NPCs in game.
Well, with int of 17 it's legit.

Would’ve been great if you could pickpocket the circle of intellect he wears, and his intelligent dialogue suddenly reverts to moronic ogre dialect 😂

Dudes legit a genius, btw.

His intlligence is 19.

The crown make intelligence 17 unless it's higher. No stacking involved.

Which means he's just as smart without the crown.

If they help you then you tell them you'll pay them double next time, but never use the horn again they'll wake you up in the middle of the night in Act 2 to collect 😂😂 I legit thought I finessed them.

I can just see the dev team now: "okay, here is the character. Now, gimme all your ideas on how to f*ck this up"

To be honest? I always recruit this guy! I use him in one fight then I murder him for his item (Usually that fight is against Bernard the Robot! He's so strong he can kill two of the Ogres so I hide on the elevated part of the room and let the four of them bounce while I deal with the small fry)! Oh yeah: Make sure when you summon him that you last hit the enemies because if the Ogres do, you won't get the XP! Also, no, you will NOT get the XP from killing the Ogres AFTER you summon them this way! I don't know why either!

Not sure of this'll work twice but my 1st playthrough he and his friends all died in the goblin camp when I summoned them which made getting the crown very easy. Same thing happened with the mushroom king and his coup attempt. Resolved itself.

I just assumed they will be hostile and killed them the moment I saw them.

as fun as it is to take these guys down and mess with em the reward for actually using the horn properly is pretty damned good, expensive but holy shit they can really wreck shit up I seen them shred a group of goblins no magic pretty fast.

I'm kind of curious what happens if you steal it and then summon them, will they just spawn in and be all like THIEF!

the same situation can happen if you steal items to open a portal to the House of Hope from Helsik. She will kick you out of her shack and close the door with a spell, but the door can be broken with regular attacks, after which a fight will begin with her.

Stole the Iron Flask, thinking "I wonder if this has any future implications", found the gruesome kill and torture scene, showed the flask to the leader, so she might let her underling free, gets hostile. Long story short, I decimated the camp.
