Ok real talk, the actual reason behind the cost is because the actual price of equipment, staff, and even just amenities is MASSIVE. Firsthand experience with film-grade cameras, they require multiple hours to unpack, set up, and get focused. Not accounting for the professionals who work in lights, set, makeup, etc.

There are movies today with bigger budgets who are absolute s*** people need to stop complaining.
And there are masterpieces of shows with the same budget (arcane was the same budget for two shows i think)
It takes a lot to make movies.
If you want movie production to cost less, the cheaper (non-ethical) way to save money on that nowadays is use AI. Which people pout and say is a no-no because it takes away jobs for people. So you'll either complain about the cost or about the fact its cheap but less people worked on it and profited from it. There is literally no winning in this argument.
