It's worth noting that you don't have to feel "sad" to say that you have depression, many times you might just feel like you can't really get happy for no reason.

When you can't be bothered to wash your hair for weeks. When you isolate to the point that you are not even joining your family at the dinner table. When you have absolutely no appetite and/or feel nauseous for no good reason. When you find yourself wishing that you could go back to the life you had 10 years ago. When the things that used to bring you Joy, now just seem like a burden. When you look in the mirror and either don't recognize the person looking back at you, or have no love for the person looking back at you. When you no longer get relief from crying because it's become such a daily occurrence....

when i opened up about my depression and trauma to my friends, they guilt tripped me. to be honest at some point i was also convinced that i was just diagnosing myself and i was overreacting. but i guess you’re truly the one who knows yourself the best. you just know that the shifting states of unexplainable sadness or hopelessness and complete emptiness are not normal or to be pushed aside. it’s difficult to admit to yourself that 'damn, i really got it bad.' it took everything in me to finally say that to myself.

As a person who has been suffering from depression for many months now I promise you, it will pass.
I know it's hard and tiring, but as long as you are willing to be healed, there is hope and do not forget that you are never alone.

Everything just feels like a chore to me now..waking up, eating, or just even existing. I’m just so, so, so very tired. I don’t wanna die, i just wanna fall asleep for a long time. School is so stressful right now, I can’t think or work out sums. I feel miserable all the time and I’m worried I might be faking. I’m sorry I just needed to vent, have a good sleep and take care of yourself, or at least try for me :)
