Thank you very much for this video. You are very clear and fair on this topic.

I spoke to my Doc about concerns about stopping exercise (5-6x a week exerciser here). When I pressed them, they said a vigorous walk and some light arm weights should be fine, but I really need to focus on keeping my pelvis stable. The more I looked into what other docs suggest, I decided that some other exercises are also okay for me: seated stationary bike (low hr); lying down/seated pilates reformer with no abs/crunching; mat workouts without abs or twisting.

The big piece that I think is missing from this conversation (with all docs) is what you can do the first few days of the stimulation. I'm on day 5 and feel totally normal. No bloating or pain. I feel comfortable exercising each day for 30-45 min. I have certainly dialed back my intensity, so to me, I am taking it easy. I really think it depends on the person! If you've never exercised, starting during stimulation seems kinda bonkers. But for someone like me who is very athletic, I would think my body can handle some light exercise and walking during this process, especially since I'm very in tune with my body and its limits.

Overall, I wish doctors would take more time to explore the nuance of this topic instead of issuing blanket statements like "stop exercising completely." That sort of thing causes undue stress during an incredibly stressful time!

Thank you so much for this video! I have been seeing so much online about avoiding inversions and yet still saying that yoga is good. This confused me as I immediately thought about just how much downward dog comes up in yoga and couldn't understand if that's still considered an inversion. Your video has helped clear this up for me so I can now have less of a worry about what's ok and what's best to avoid when I hopefully start my first IVF cycle soon! 😊🤞🏻✨

Very helpful! I like how you included the research to show that there is only a .03% chance of the ovaries been twisted because I was very afraid of that but will still try to be careful. This was a great video.

Thank you for this informative video! I teach Zumba (dance fitness) 3 days a week (60 minute sessions). It's fairly high impact to where I'm dripping sweat by the end. There is a lot of booty shaking and twisting. I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to have to give up my classes completely for this process. I could try and teach more gently, but there is still twisting and shaking. We're going to do IVF with PGT to prevent the Lynch Syndrome mutation. 1) Will I need to stop teaching Zumba classes? 2) If so, how long would I need to stop teaching them for the full process into conception? Thank you!

What about FET? Is it ok to keep weight lifting if I’m used to it, just before the embryo transfer?

Hello Dr I really wished you mentioned your feedback about exercising during FET preparation/stimulation weeks. Do you have any videos about it? I’m trying to also find out if using light weights is ok I love exercising and I just started my stimulation for transfer and I’m scared of using my Weights. Thank you

Could you recommend some Peleton cycle workouts that are good to do during IVF? I’ve been afraid to start up again.
