The 5 Worst SUV's (I Can't Believe People Buy)

These are the worst SUVs to buy or to own today as far as I'm concerned as they're likely to cost you a ton of money. The price of ownership is high because of maintenance issues that could crop up with many of these SUVs that I think you should leave for the next person.

You'll see a few SUVs that you know and love, but I'm telling you what I've seen with these and why you should avoid these SUVs.

Where we believe that Life's Too Short To Drive Boring Cars so we just don't and you shouldn't either.

12:00 gotta give you major props on how you do point out the HIGHLIGHTS/Positive Points of each vehicle before giving us the real on the LOWLIGHTS/Negative Points.

Dad warned me to stay away from any British products way back in the 70's. Things haven't changed. He never owned a Crysler product either.

I wll have to say my mothers 2011 Sorento EX has been the best car shes even owned. 10 years old with 210k miles now and only issue shes ever had with it was the starter a month ago. Still drives great, engine is smooth and transmission still shifts like a dream.

We own a 2019 KIA Sorento SXL with the 3.3L V6 GDI engine and 8-speed automatic. We've put 33, 000 miles on it so far and had it serviced at recommended intervals. We had to replace a faulty starter under warranty, but that's it. Our service manager volunteered that the earlier Sorento models did have the engine issue you describe, but the V6 in our car is a completely different, and much more reliable, engine.

We don’t have the issues with the Kia product in Australia as we source our cars from Korea. Most of your issues come from the US built products. All the other car problems also came from US built cars. I think it’s a quality control issue on American made products. Boeing also highlights poor manufacturing standards, don’t trust American built.

I like how even though these are all poorly made vehicles he still finds some good to say about them. He doesn’t just bash them and talk crap about the company like some other automotive YouTubers

Another great video! Good folks watching your video has been saved from headaches and tons of money for the repairs by avoiding vehicles you’ve mentioned above for sure and that’s a blessing for all those people getting ready to spend hard earned money!

My son, unfortunately, has a Sorento built within that time frame. No burning engine, however though, they have replaced it. And it's not high mileage, either. Fortunately, if it wasn't for the strong warranty, not worth it!

I purchased a Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged new in December 2017. It had infotainment issues which Land Rover couldn't fix and oil leaks. It spent more time in the shop than it did in my garage. I sold it at 10 months old. It was my 6th Range Rover. I will never buy another JLR product, overpriced and poorly made.

I agree with the comments about the Range Rover. It's not just the Range Rover Sport; it's all Range Rovers. Absolute money pits!

I own a 2016 Sorento with the 3.3L engine, owned since new. After 120K miles, the reliability has been flawless. Imagine that? BTW I live and drive the vehicle in Arizona, so the sorento is driven in severe weather conditions.
Im a master technician, so maintenance is a top priority.

My wife had a 2010 Dodge Journey R/T with the 3.5L. That thing had so many problems. Yeah it was cheap but you got what you paid for with it!

Very informative video and I completely agree with your presentation on these five poorly engineered SUV’s.
I’ve been driving Lexus SUV’s for the past twenty years and they have been flawless. Only thing I had to replace was batteries and brake pads.
My current vehicle is a 2008 Lexus RX-350. Super comfortable and quiet with a ride that compares with any $100-K luxury vehicle.

I find it QUITE interesting that the majority of these SUVs are high end and very expensive but yet(according to you)have major drawbacks. I'm still driving my 05 Hyundai Tuscon GLS V6 with 141, 000 miles on it. Runs like a champ...cannot even hear the engine when idling. And everything still works on it perfectly...sun roof, stereo, cruise control, AC, etc. When shined up she looks gorgeous!

My Chirpodist has had an epic battle with Hyundai Canada and Brantford Hyundai. His Santa Fe would use 2 litres of oil every 1000 kms. Hyundai finally rebuilt his engine and while torn apart it needed a new timing chain. My sister had a Sorento....a lot of irritating things broke on it. Anyone who buys a Rover of any kind is into serious S&M. JEEP....Just Exchange Every Part....Just Eats Every OF RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT. One You Ought To AQUIRE.

The Dodge Journey is what you get when you're at that 5th chance for credit dealer at 20% interest rate.

We are a Jeep and Honda family, and have had Grand Cherokee Jeeps for the last 20 odd years I think. The 3.7 petrol models very thirsty, the 2013 3l Ltd awesome economical car. Towed heavy horses all over the country with them, with not a moment's trouble. Do sell them once they reach 300 000 kays though.

Lmao the first car he shows is just so shocking, every time I see a range rover I always think of failures waiting to happen.
