Honda and Toyota are consistently the best because they reflect their consistent quality on all levels.

In other words, no surprise. Toyota, Honda, Mazda, and Subaru are the best choices. I own a 2020 Honda CR-V EX 2WD 1.5T. Admittedly, I was skeptical about the 1.5T at first, but after 30K miles, I'm very satisfied, and I haven't had any issues after owning it for over 3 years.

I bought my 09 CRV new and haven't done anything to it other than normal maintenance like oil changes, tires and batteries

The Toyota Venza is being discontinued after 2024... its replacement is the Toyota Crown Signia.

I think Mazda CX50 is THE BEST LOOKING SUV inside out. I just wish Mazda would come with a hybrid version of it, like Toyota RAV4 does.

The Venza would have been my first choice, too. But I keep my cars almost forever and there's nothing wrong with the 25 yo model I have.

I'm still a Subcompact SUV fan. I am a party of two and don't need much room in the back seat (only items that go back there are my gym bag and sometimes groceries). Looking forward to a 2024 Subcompact SUV Review in the new year. Another great review Shari and Happy Holidays!

Recently changed my Toyota Scion TC 2005 (only owner/no issues) for RAV4 XSE Hybrid. MPG 41.5 I love this car. Here to another 15 years plus

Jeep has had a lot of problems for many years. Then they sold out to Chrysler and their reliability went Downhill again.
Now that Chrysler, Ram and Jeep are owned by Fiat / Stillantis their reliability is like the Titanic and sinking like a rock !

Good list. The one I'm the most interested in is the Honda HRV Hybrid.

Great video! You have not mentioned Honda HRV very frequently. I have a couple of friends who have bought one. I does not impress me, but does seem like a safe, solid, long lasting car. Thoughts?

Hey! Amazing video. What are your thoughts about Lexus NX350h

Hello Shari! I’ve watched all most all the videos you have posted since last 1 year and love the way you describe the details and give valuable opinions.
Would it be possible for you to review the 2024 VW Atlas Cross Sport? I know you might not recommend VW but still if you can advise that would be great. Alternatively I am waiting for Toyota 4Runner 6th gen, BT god knows when that will be launched and be available to consumers 😊 until then if leasing ( and not financing) a VW Atlas cross sport is good option? Please advise 😊🙏🏻

Thanks & Regards,
Pramit

My Mom has a 2019 Forester Touring and I have a 2022 Outback Premium (with all the options) and I would not call the fuel economy so-so for their size. Oddly my Mom's Forester gets a bit worse mileage than my Outback does. I live in a rural area with lots of twisty roads and not a lot of highway cruising and my average fuel economy is about 29.8mpg which I think is great considering I'm not on the highway. On the highway I get 33-34 mpg whereas my Mom's Forester gets about 30-31. I think its pretty good! Neither of these are small cars.

Appreciate the straightforward review. The unfortunate nature is in 2024 they’re still running markups due to the demand.

Which suv is the most compact and reliable? I like a smaller car but higher then a sedan

I don’t joke with my Venza. I got the 2022 Venza last year, and since then I have nothing to complain about. It’s such a very lovely car, I don’t worry about gas because it’s so so fuel efficient. With less than $20 gas, I travel to NY and back from Philly. The car is so underrated in the market.
