The pastor is supposed to protect the people, not hurt them. Sex has always been a great sin in the church. A woman having pregancy in the church out of wedlock is the ultimate sin.
I believe the church is confused that we don't punish a sinner. We don't control how to correct a sinner, or someone who have sinned.
