Hello everyone, this video has been taking off just a few days ago, and I wanted to take the time to thank all of you beautiful people who left such heartwarming feeback! It means a lot to me!
However, I wanted to quickly apologize for my mispronounciation of the words "Taoism and Tao". This is extremely uncomfortable for me, that I've messed this up. It was my first ever video after discovering Taoism myself. I cannot correct the pronounciation in this video, but I will not repeat this mistake! I hope everyone can still enjoy the video regardless. Thank you and whish you all the best, Alexxis 😊

Never make fun of someone for mispronouncing a word... it means they learned it by reading :) great video

I first learned about Taoism when I was… maybe 8 years old, from the book, “The Tao of Pooh”. My teacher had it in her library and I picked it up. I read it, and while a lot went over my head, the back of the book stuck with me and I repeated to my dad when I got home.
“While Eeyore frets, and Piglet hesitates, and Rabbit calculates, and Owl pontificates, Pooh just is. And that is the secret wisdom of the Taoists.”
I remember my dad was so proud. He was a philosopher, and that I picked up a book on Taoism that young really made him happy. He died when I was 19, and I miss him every day. ❤️

I think the key with Taoism is that it leads one to let go of the mental resistance to the happenings of life. One just lives life.

My wife recently died from cancer. This video that somehow flowed into my life has given me much to contemplate and continue on to. I wish you much kindness in your journey.

"Thus it is said:
The path into the light seems dark,
the path forward seems to go back,
the direct path seems long,
true power seems weak,
true purity seems tarnished,
true steadfastness seems changeable,
true clarity seems obscure,
the greatest art seems unsophisticated,
the greatest love seems indifferent,
the greatest wisdom seems childish.

The Tao is nowhere to be found.
Yet it nourishes and completes all things."

Lao Tzu,  Tao Te Ching

My favourite Lao Tzu verse! I absolutely adore Taoism! Beautiful video.

I always like the translation of Wu-Wei as 'non striving.' It seems to capture it best. It's not not acting, it's acting with the most impact with the lease effort. Can you wait till the muddy water clears? The Tao Te Ching has always been one of my favorite texts of ancient philosophy. Chuang Tzu is also another great resource on the subject of applying the Tao to the real world.

Thank you for the wonderful video. It was refreshing way to start the day.

So many times at work, with friends and relationships....the process is talking to us, but we do not listen. When the process talks to you, listen.

This video is timely. Ive been stuck in the same place for a long time with responsibilities, that are not mine, dumped on my shoulders. With Tao and Stoicism, i think i will learn how to accept and maneuver through life with peace. Thank you for this video.

The translation by Wayne Dyer and his spoken version is the best philosophical (sleep) meditation out there! Great to see that this gets all the attention it deserves. Gratuliere!!!
