A well-known concept that has emerged from Taoist philosophy is wu wei, that can be translated as “non-action”, “effortless action”, or the paradoxical “action of non-action”.

As kids, we were all in the state of Wu Wei without knowing it. That's why everything felt so natural and so right back then.

The "flow" is something I've been chasing ever since I first started learning to dance, and now I see it in everything I do. Playing video games, dancing, doing dishes, cooking dinner, writing - you learn how to put yourself into that mindset. And even though I'm getting better at it slowly, I feel as though this is something I will pursue for my entire lifetime. When you reach that state of mind, it feels like you're no longer making deliberate actions, and more those deliberate actions are coming to you. You move with precision even though you are putting the bare minimum of conscious thought into what you are doing. It's a state of bliss. I feel contentment when I am vibing to some good music and cooking food or playing video games. I'm convinced this is the secret to happiness.

I was depressed for years, and I believe at one point I naturally just started to «accept to outcome» and stopped worrying about the future and how much time something took.
I still get anxious whenever the outside world «force» deadlines on me. I have a strange relationship with time, but I have noticed I feel the most happy and stressfree when I let go and flow with it

So, "the flow" is basically being immersed in the present moment. I love that. I feel myself get in "the zone" when I play the piano and sing, when I can let go of my own self-consciousness. Sometimes I get in the way of myself.

I don’t consider myself to be religious at all, but I do feel some form of inherent spirituality. I feel like a lot of the Taoist stuff I’ve been seeing lately seems to really resonate with me, it’s helped me be even more open minded, and in a way, helped me overcome some mental blocks I had.

The Tao Te Ching is a book that takes 20 minutes to read and 20 lifetimes to understand.

I really feel this .. I effortlessly let chips flow into my mouth without thought. As I eat, I don't look at the chips bag with my eyes, somehow my hand finds itself to the opening of the bag. I can almost feel the outline of the next chip ..

this gives me the same feeling as “we can’t control what happens to us, only how it affects us.”

I loved the example about swimming against the current, as I once nearly drowned while caught in a riptide. When I finally *let go and went with the literal flow*, I was taken to shallower water a few minutes later, and was able to use my previous "fighting strength" to swim to the beach! Fantastic video.
