The 4080 may have better Ray tracing performance than the 7900 xtx but that doesn't meant it can't ray trace. From what I've heard, the 7900 xtx ray traces about as good as a 3080ti. It's still a monster card and I love mine

I just built my first PC a few months ago. I went with the RX 7900 XT, and I love it! I play at 1440p and it can run anything I want!

Not looking for a gpu upgrade rn, probably next christmas, but I appreciate the mention of vram and 7900xtx, will keep that in mind when I do upgrade.

I started buying nvidia when CUDA was all the rage - I did 3D art back then and rendering of complex scenes in seconds instead of hours was a godsend, and stuck with them for some time now.

I've owned several cards from both sides and the 7900xtx is a very good one. Raw performance is impressive.

Dude is insane. Since when is a 7900XTX a midrange card. LOL
Midrange is something like a RX7700XT. Heck, even a 7900gre is pretty much high end.
