I think my little boy is an oddity lol… he LOVED tummy time from like 2 weeks old on… and started rolling from back to belly at 9 weeks!

Your videos are so helpful. I'm a veteran mom, but I always learn at least one thing watching your videos. I wish these parenting and birth prep videos were available ten years ago.

Chest to chest tummy time is me and my baby’s favorite. It really motivates him to pick his head up and look at me when I’m talking to him. It’s really the only tummy time we do. He actually has almost no problem keeping his head up and he’s 6 weeks! He has started kicking to try and push himself around on top of me (almost like he wants to crawl) I recommend chest to chest. He has honestly never cried when doing tummy time this way. So I couldn’t really relate to the first thing that was stated in this video.

My 2.5 mo old loves tummy time when we do it together. I lay him on my chest and he looks up at me and smiles. It's an awesome bonding moment for us and especially my hubby. He's not as big of a fan of on the floor but it's definitely better then it used to be.

THE FIRST ONE. I had to pause. Nothing prepared me for the absolute dread I was going to feel when I dis tummy time. My little Evelynn is now 6 weeks old and so she is really absorbing things visually so her tummy time book is finally getting noticed and makes at least a few minutes of it bearable for both of us.

I always thought my little one hated tummy time but a few weeks ago we realised it's the reusable nappies setting him off balance being bulkier!
He now loves his tummy time, plus he gets to go nappy free which he likes just as much

I love how you explain everything, super helpful especially since my doctor is almost an hour away so instead of calling her and waiting i can just watch and learn myself 🤩🤩

My baby is now 1 mo old and I have not done yet any tummy time. I was prevented by my fear of holding him on that certain tummy time position. I got scared 🥺

My little one hated tummy time until she started to roll over to her tummy on her own at three and half months. Now we just struggle with her not wanting to roll to her back because she is tired of being on her tummy. One step at a time we will get there :)

I have watched many of your videos but I haven't found this issue, maybe everybody knows about, I don't. I'm a new mom and I don't know how to put baby to sleep, she used to fall asleep on her own when she was newborn. Then it seems because of puprle crying or colic she stopped. Everytime she wants to play, she starts yawning, I read her a story and put her to put to bed, she starting crying. I sing a lullaby and start patting her but shw just doesn't fall asleep. She doesn't even seem sleepy. After a while she starts crying more and more. I hold her vertically, like when burping. She is fussy in craddle hold. And keeo gently rocking her but I have to hold and rock her like that half an hour. Then if she is drowsy or not in a deep sleep and I put her to her bed, she starts crying a lot, sometimes she stops after ten seconds and falls asleep, sometimes she keep crying more and more and then I have to hold her for another 15 minutes. Then she becomes floppy and keeps sleeping after being put to her bed. But sometimes she sleeps only ten minutes and starts crying again... I am too tired to hold her whole day. :( I am desperate and she is not getting enough sleep. Sometimes she sleeps only 10 to 12 hours a day. She is three months old now

We are well passed this but our pediatrician recommended not to do tummy time until the umbilical stump fell off. Maybe her guidance is United States practice specific or her preference?

What are your thoughts on when to "save" your baby in tummy time? My baby is 4 months old and generally does really well in tummy time, but after a while will get fussy & swim her arms out to the side. I never know if I should just let her struggle (because a few times she has rolled out of tummy time) or if I should flip her over at that point. What do you think?

Why not just ease into it from a less challenging starting point? Babies hate flat tummy time at an early age for a reason, it is too challenging and uncomfortable. Why not start with a more upright position, and slowly decrease the angle until you've reached a flat one? Skin-to-skin and being carried in a carrier seem like a better place to start, this seems so unnecessarily cruel.

Hi Emma
Love your channel.
My 7 month old daughter plays lots on her tummy but still hasn't rolled over totally. She twists her legs and head but not her arms, as if to almost roll over but ends up on her back again. Is this normal at 7 months?

My daughter still hates tummy time at 6 months. Sometimes she can do 20 minutes at a time, others she cry’s immediately. I try to break it up in 10 minute increments 6 times a day. Is this enough?

My daughter used to love chest to chest tummy time and has always had a strong neck and held her head up fairly well but since around 2-3 months she suddenly started hating it and crying as soon as I lie down with her I really don't know why. Possibly reflux but I really don't know. She was also 7 weeks early and at her 8 week check up the health visitor actually said she was very pleased with her progress and she really is so strong but tummy time is impossible now.
