There are 7 mistakes I often see parents make which can delay development. In this video I cover what these mistakes are and more importantly how you can avoid making them. These 7 tips are easy to use and will lead to better baby development. 😁

I'm all for a lot of this, but I need a second for the news or to just zone out a second with my 11 week old. I get almost no time for myself so it really isn't realistic to expect total no screens.

My baby hurt her eye very badly due to not wearing gloves or mittens 😢 it was awful man. Thank god she recovered extremely fast.

It infuriates me when my husband is on his phone when he is watching our daughter. He doesn’t seem to understand that she is trying to engage with him but he isn’t giving her eye contact. But at the same time I also know he needs to destress after work…

My baby boy was diagnosed of mild loose hip when he was born and we put on the harness on day 6. Really lucky to have that put on instantly. Many doctor would say after 6 months or let’s observe. In 6 weeks time, the ultrasound proved the the problem gone. It’s very important to keep hips in M. Under the guidance given by the doctors and nurses, we never swaddled the baby, never covered his hands, barely let him wear socks at home, no walking or sitting assistant toys etc. it really worked! It’s not a hearsay, it’s actually science and research findings.

So many people pushed me to buy my son a walker and a jolly jumper and i refused. One lady went and got him one (second hand free) and dumped it on my doorstep because she was angry that I was depriving him by refusing to get him a walker and said she was buying a jolly jumper for christmas which I also objected.
I explained that both myself and David need to do the proper steps towards developing his walking and that I didnt feel toys can offer him that instead 6 months of hard labor holding him up with no abdominal core while he jumped and jumped and stomped on my bladder, my legs until at 8.5 months he took his first steps.
We worked hard on it together and I had nobody else to encourage him to walk. Single mum in a pandemic.
I am so proud of his determination and even if I am not a perfect mother it showed me that instinctively I have what it takes to recognise his needs over my own.
I still cant believe how angry some people got when i said I wasn’t getting him a walker.

Thanks for the video! Just something I've noticed - the two videos of women carrying their babies in the carriers actually show a wrong carrying position. Aside from the M-shape for the legs, babies should be carried at a distance of a kiss (so that mom can always be sure that their airways are open and prevent suffocation). Furthermore the back of the baby should be in a C-shape to maintain a curve and spread out the weight.

One thing I learnt here is that I need a new nanny. Personally i don't like kids who are too much into TV but just realized that sometimes when my baby cries she hands her the phone. When i realized she's interested in my phone i decided no phones when we engaging and no TV when she's eating, but she reverses all that as soon as I exit🥺

Very informative, thank you! I didn’t realize the effects there are on putting on mittens - will be avoiding from now on!

We use mittens not for warmth or to keep skin soft. But to keep them from scratching their face up because babies nails are razor sharp and hard to clip when their new Borns. But as they get older the less it becomes a necessity. I personally don't like mine wearing mittens unless he needs to.

Love these tips! Particularly love tips number #5 and #6. Conan was previously a Podiatrist so for our girls we tried to keep shoes to an absolute minimum until they were between 2-3 years old. Keeping screens off is also a big one! The blue light can also impact their sleep and suppress melatonin which will help them to fall asleep and stay asleep. Thanks so much for sharing :)

How am I meant to keep my baby's feet warm in winter if they're not supposed to wear socks? Not all of us live in warm climates or perfectly regulated homes.

I let my baby watch TV cause she don't like to watch it for to long she gets bored. She watches a few episodes of Bluey and it gives me time to either clean or eat it whatever I need to do and she watches about 3 or 4 episodes which is 10 minutes each and that's including the intro and she is still curious and observant so idk about the screen time I feel like it just depends how much screen time you give em cause this momma gotta do what she gotta do to clean and get stuff done
