Your problem is with semantics not mathematics.

Adding two things just means grouping those two things into a new group in which you COUNT the number of objects. There is no need for touching or conjoint no or closeness. If I was to count planets, things that are very distant from one another, there would still be 8 planets

1+1... will be found in a mathematical environment. On a test... if someone answers anything other than 2...the teacher will mark that answer as wrong.

So, when you talk about 1+1... you need to reference that context. So yes, 1+1 does equal 2...but, outside of math it may be something else.

Bro, “plus” means that you add an object to a group
When adding there’s always one group, and one starter numeral
For 30 + 46 + 3, 30 is the starting number
Unless subtracted or divided (or inverse by negatives), there will indefinitely be 30 of whatever in this “group”
46 of something is being contributed to this group, so, 30 is our starter, 46 is added, you get 76
Now, you contribute 3 more to the group, ending with 79
There’s no physical fusion, no electrons or protons or neutrons or whatever, it’s all just based off of *one* group
