Little hint, unplug your hdmi cord from your system and portal will run flawlessly. Ive gamed 11 hours away with my mobile hotspot no issues at all.

I mean for me, the portal makes perfect sense. I often find myself wishing I could play my PS5 in a polished handheld form and kick my feet up, instead of having to sit at my desk.

It’s only weird if you’re trying to make it what it’s not intended to be in the first place. It’s an accessory to the 5 not a stand alone device. Use around the house don’t travel the country with it

You can stream 1080p on the remote play app but you can only use that when ur internet connection is good

The reason for this is if you want to play remote play on the go or somewhere else in the house and what really matters is it offers a much bigger and more comfortable way to play. Your phone is small and wont give you that haptic feedback the portal will

YOU CAN use your Bluetooth headset if playing at home since it’s connected to your PS5 through a Bluetooth dongle.

Now there’s cloud streaming finally, and once the beta is done, and you can play all your digital games and stuff definitely worth it. I’m hoping they drop a OLED portal here soon with Wi-Fi 6

The portal is not confusing. This review is confusing. The UPLOAD speed connected to your PS5 is what really matters for a smooth experience on the portal. The experience on the portal is much better than remote play on a phone or laptop in my experience. Also the headphone jack is a SELLING point for anyone with decent headphones lol. It's actually a pretty dope product at a low price point.

Just bought it and I like it so far. When you log into a wifi for the first time, it gets a little laggy, but after a couple minutes it just runs smooth. Only important thing is to input an ethernet cable into your ps5

The thing that calls my attention. As much as i use my phone to do remote play. The haptic feedback adaptive triggers are the ones that sold it for me.

The Portal is incredible for certain people, like those who have families and want to play without hogging the TV or play in bed while their partner is sleeping. There are many uses for this that make sense. It’s pretty sick.
