they're not selling it as a "handheld console" they're selling it as a ps5 accessory. would you get a new ps5 face plate without a ps5? that's also a ps5 accessory. the price also isn't bad. you've got: storage, memory, snapdragon 662, wifi chip, nice display, nice speakers, and a dualsense. all that adds up to like 160 bucks which is not bad :)

Been 11 days since I got mine and I FUCKING LOVE this thing!!! Now yes, you will need home wifi that'll output 500 mbps or more to get absolute smooth frames and no lagging. 300 mbps will still work but you'll get some very minor glitches.

I think it'd be more of a blessing if somebody can hack this. Considering it's also (somehow) an Xperia, we are getting a tiny bit close.

I'm here because a new Playstation handheld might have been leaked, and if it uses the tech for the portal here as base, I think it could be pretty good

There is lag even under ideal conditions, but the ease of use surprisingly makes me turn to it more that my Steam Deck, now (please don’t crucify me 😢). Not for every type of game - I can’t even play Tetris Effect on the Portal and feel good about it, but for a silly Ubisoft game, or Mass Effect, or Beyond Two Souls, it’s great!!
