The VERY BEST Songs Of 1967 // RE-UPLOAD & CORRECTION

In this video you'll find my favorite songs of 1967. Of course I wasn't part of this earth at that time so all the songs in the video are tracks I discovered years later. In the upcoming weeks I'm trying to continue my VERY BEST Series with all the years from the 60s. 1967 was known as the "Long Hot Summer" when racial unrest in big cities like Detroit, Newark and Cincinnati happened. It was also the "Summer Of Love" when young people came to San Francisco in a shared interest in Eastern religons, communal living and immersive light shows. And more and more soldiers were deployed in Vietnam which caused many protests against the war in return.

Disclaimer: Some songs might be released at the end of 1966 so I took the creative freedom to put them in this video as it would be more in line with how charts were at that time. Remember: Even if a song was released then it might have taken some time to chart and especially if it was a song from overseas. Songs that I already used in my Best Of 1968 however weren't eligible.

Since the earlier version was blocked I decided to put a corrected version on as I totally forgot one huge song last time. So here is the new version with a new Top 10 song.

Class of 68 here. 67 was my favorite year of music. Psychedelic was really going by then. Airplane, Love, The Byrds, Blues Magoos, Hendrix. Zappa had TWO Albums that year. And Monterey Pop. 67 was heaven.

I was 13 in 1967. Saw your first version. This is better. The number one song of 1967 IS A Whiter Shade of Pale! I remember the instant I heard I heard that song for the first time! I would put strawberry fields forever as #2. :-)
