I've been using the iPad mini daily for the last month and a half. Although it's not perfect, it's hands-down my favorite way to read and take notes. It's also a competent Apple Arcade machine. Downsides are the lack of storage options, no Face ID, and by far the biggest downside, no ProMotion support. Watch my hands-on unboxing and review for the details.

I absolutely LOVE the size of this iPad. It’s absolutely perfect for gaming, reading, and watching TV. Unfortunately, I absolutely CANNOT go back to anything below MiniLED or 120fps. This forced me to buy the largest iPad Pro. My problem with Apple is by the time they come out with this for the iPad Mini, there will be features in the iPad Pro that I’ll be more interested in. I wish all devices got updates at around the same time, or at least within the same year.

I got an iPad Mini and love it. I’m an artist and it allows me to takes great notes, scribble ideas, draw pretty seriously, and because of its size I find myself reading the news and books more on it. I also was surprised how immersive it actually is when watching videos and editing on it for long periods. I also find it being my go to tablet most days. That said, I have a surface pro 6 that at the end of the night when watching youtube or hulu, I find myself gravitating towards that now because the screen is far more immersive and I haven’t used it for drawing yet but I assume if I ever feel I need more real estate, I can just go back to using the surface.

If Apple's Product Managers are reading this thread, I wish they would make a Mini-Pro, with the other hardware features of the larger units in this smaller package.

If you're watching on a Mac, there are known issues with HDR right now causing crashes, so things might look weird. Hopefully Apple can resolve this soon via a macOS update.

I’ve been using the iPad Pro 10.5” for 3 years now, and I love it, but I wanted something a little more up to date with the design changes Apple has made in the iPad over the last few years. As soon as I saw this little guy at the September event I knew I wanted it, especially in purple. I do recognize that it’s a bit excessive but I really do think if you can afford it, 2 iPads are the way to go 😂 I use my larger one when I don’t care abooy weight and size and for digital art, and my mini got everything else, especially in bed. They’re quite a pair~ 😌

Thank you for comparing the starlight vs gold color! Every other comparison is starlight vs silver which makes it look gold. However, when you put it next to gold, it’s a very nice silver! I guess I’ll go with starlight instead of purple. I’ve seen purple in person and it’s barely purple, too grey imo

Received my mini6 yesterday afternoon only started using a few hours ago. Immediately noticed screen distortion on one specific spot on screen with mild pressure added. I’ve had my mini5 since launch and it still works perfectly. Will be returning my iPad tomorrow.

I love the ipad Mini! Use it for reading in bed in the evening (love how light it is), for watching Netflix, Apple+ oder Disney+ in the train when I am out to my way to work and the kids use it for school and to play apps. At the moment we have the iPad mini 2 and love it. We will get the 6th gen soon, maybe for christmas :) The only thing I have to decide now is 64 GB or more for a lot more of money...

Thanks for bringing up the headphone jack...I just ordered it yesterday and I didn't realize it didn't have the jack (kinda didn't think about it) it's okay tho I have my airpods so it won't be a big deal

He keeps on saying how great it is for note taking, but I couldn’t disagree more. Maybe he means “notes” like a grocery list or something. I use my iPad for actual note taking (grad school) and the screen is just way too small. I’m constantly having to make new pages and struggling to fit a lot of text in each line. I returned my mini and upgraded to an 11” pro and couldn’t be happier.

I could not take the jelly scrolling. Returned it. Typing right now on a 12.9 IPad Pro. Until the Mini gets MiniLED it’s a no go.

Used my mini 5 for CIV 6 when I go to a remote island. It's form factor is unrivaled and if Apple puts adpative ProMotion its the perfect iPad for me

I'm watching this in HDR 10 on my VIZIO E60 E3 connected to an M1 Mac Mini (Base). The VIZIO will be replaced this Saturday with the LG C1 OLED TV. I can't wait to switch from LED to OLED! I think your HDR videos look amazing now. I can't imagine how much more amazing they will look on my new TV. My only device with an OLED display right now is my OnePlus 7 Pro Nebula Blue .
