I was torn between the new air that just dropped and the mini. I ended up ordering the mini just because I did feel I wanted a bit of a bigger screen then my phone but the air and pro versions just seemed massive (probably cause I’m not used to a tablet). This is the perfect tablet to take with you anywhere and perfect for someone that wants to be able to do a bit more processor intensive tasks but is not using it to content create etc. Can’t wait till mine arrives.

As a person that uses the iPhone Mini this is the perfect tablet to compliment it. If you are using the largest iPhone I imagine the iPad Mini won't make sense to you. Another use case of this iPad would be that is an excellent gaming machine using a PS/XBOX controller. Apple Arcade has improved gaming options in the app store by a lot. Cloud gaming is also amazing on this thing if you have a decent connection. Personally I remote into my PS5 or Steam library and have had playable experiences over LTE in certain areas. It's also worth noting the tablet weighs around the same amount as a Nintendo switch. I do hope we see some specialized gamepads that don't suck for this thing.

I loved by old iPad mini. Especially for reading. Granted I didn't really use it for much else, but I still remember it fondly.

The main reason I decided to hang on to the Z Fold 3 is that when opened the screen is the exact same size as that old iPad mini...making or far and away the greatest reading experience on a piece of tech I've ever had, and that's including my Kindle.

But for the money I'm sure he iPad mini is a great buy. I just got the Z fold for far cheaper then msrp

Samsung's recent mid-range and flagship tablets have been great so far, but I'll say Apple does satisfy that niche audience that want a powerful and compact tablet that never feels sluggish. I have the Galaxy Tab S7 and it's amazing but I do prefer my older Mini 5 for using while laying in bed or on the couch. Bigger tablets just aren't as comfortable one-handed like these smaller Mini tablets are 🤷Now the original price of this new mini 6 is a bit steep though I'll admit that.
