I always thought as a kid that Flik at the last part of his speech ("... and you know that. Don't you.") was him retreating back to his former cowardly persona for some reason. It always really confused me. Now, I can see that it was a revelation. He said this because he realized it was the truth. Damn, this movie was more that I remember it was :)

I tried reciting Flik's speech and was so upset when I couldn't remember all of it. That's when I realized how much I love this movie. Flik was the first character I could really relate to on a personal level.
