I’ve read about people using pre exhaustion for certain muscles like he’s explaining in this video. It’s usually due to a muscle imbalance. For example, when the biceps and rear deltoids give out before the back muscles during pull downs, they would do some lat pullovers till failure, then go into pull downs.

I use this technique several ways. I pre-exhaust with leg extensions and single leg kickbacks before I do leg press. Machine only holds 9 plates and this way it's heavy enough. Other times I do pullovers before any pulldowns or rows because I can get a better connection that way.

I always do supersets triceps first, then biceps immediately after. Tricep V- bar Pushdowns 8-12 reps. Dumbbell hammer curls 8-12. Dumbbell tricep kick backs, 8-12, ez curl bar bicep curls, 8-12 Straight bar close grip floor tricep press, 8-12, Seated incline bench bicep curls, 8-12, Seated overhead dumbell tricep press, 8-12, ez curl bar reverse curls, ez curl bar flat bench skull crushers, 8-12. Dumbbell Zottman curls. Repeat from the beginning. When finished, you have done 2 sets, of 10 different exercises . 20 sets total.🔥💪🔥

How bout this Dr. Mikey. Do a set of tricep pulldowns then superset with dips.

I always start off my tricep training with 6 sets of pushdowns, high reps, short rest for massive pumps and mind muscle connection.

I guess I’ve inadvertently started doing this. Newbie here. Less than 12 months in the gym. Only started doing dips 3ish months ago. Trialled doing them at the start, middle and end of a session. I’ve settled on doing them at the end because they destroy me in the best way possible and I’m absolutely spent after.

Exactly what I do workout my triceps then do dips last till fatigue feels good and works well 💪🏼

Yea this is what I've done without noticing. Hitting dips very last. High rep pushdowns. Get full ROM on both gnome sayinggg

Why the mix up in order?
Training basics: Compounds before isolation work.
So do your sets of Dips, and then finish triceps with those 4-5 sets.

I just recently gained the ability to max out my gym's tricep push down machine, so this is going to be great for me in the next few months.

I have to do this. I can do 15 dips with an 88# kettlebell strapped on my waist. It had become too much stress on my shoulders to continue month after month. Like, the tricep pump is amazing but the front delt says no more papi.
