Genius!!!! Absolute genius!! You cannot imagine how many times I’ve made veggie burgers or falafel that have fallen apart and crumbled once they hit the I was SO skeptical about this recipe since no flour is added into the mixture itself, by my came out wonderful! I finished half a plate after they were fried as I couldn’t even wait til they had cooked up in the sauce. Delicious, delicious, delicious! And such a creative recipe for anyone on a plant based diet. It’s really difficult to find tasty, warming recipes like this that are meat free. Thank for this incredible recipe! Pleaseeee keep posting more vegan dishes!

Awesome recipe! Especially because it's vegan. You don't miss anything when eating it. One thing that I'm going to adjust the next time cooking this is that I'll use 6 tomatoes in the sauce and not 3 so the amount of sauce is higher

Hi...Akis...we do make little bulbs with chickpeas n after deep frying, we add tomato n onion, chillies n eat like a kind of salad
Also we prepare a gravy with indian spices n dip all fried bulbs into but without oregano.
India version..

Hi, Akis! We make vegan koftas here in Bengal (India) with unripe plantain or raw jackfruit (which is cooked widely here as a vegetable before they ripen up in the summer) and make a nearly exactly similar tomato-based gravy for the koftas to serve with plain white rice. I think the concept must have been imported from the Middle-east back when in the historical time the Eastern part of India was a famous trade destination for cotton, muslin and ivory.

Now THAT is something I would try. Soutzoukakia has always been my favorite, especially with πουρέ. I wish my Mom was still here- she would have loved to try this recipe! Eυχαριστώ!
