Tip from a nurse assistant: if you get pepper spray wash it out with coconut oil, and saline solution. Water does NOT get rid of all micro traces of the substance.

My uncle who is a cop always gave the trainees this advice for going in the shower. He says to always get some milk the day before and put it in the fridge. First put on a cheap shirt you can throw away. When u get home cut it of you so you don’t have to rub it against your face while removing it because there is still pepperspray on that shirt. Then take that milk and over the bath tub or in the shower lean over it also use a towel around your chest (or under however low you’ve been sprayed) so nothing will run down you body . Just let it go down the drain and make sure you thoroughly clean your shoulders, neck, face and hair. You then in the exact same way wash those areas but now with water, shampoo and liquid body wash. Only then do you get under the shower and take a normal shower. The milk you see neutralizes the part that makes pepperspray sting that bad. This way he says almost none of the trainees have the shower issue.

A friend in military said pepper spray was horrible, but worse was being gassed. He had to put on a gas mask and then is put in a room that fills with gas and you have to not panic and take your mask off. He said the fear and urge to take the mask off was overwhelming and he understood why they gas them.

If you get pepper sprayed milk I was in pain for 2 hrs before bystanders brought me into a cafe and a girl just started pouring milk in my face. Only thing that brought my eyesight back! This happened in Wynnwood, Miami
