Here are my top 3 fast food choices! It's a jungle out there but I wanted to suggest a few option for you if you are trying to gain muscle and lose weight. Keep in mind that to live a healthy life long term, you want to be looking at more than just the calories and protein- exercise is essential!

Chick Fil-A brines their chicken in pickle juice which keeps it from drying out. This trick is a game changer for meal prepping chicken breast and keeping it moist. 10/10 recommend

The reason the kCal content of the Chick Fil-A salads are so high is because of the toppings and dressing _(and also the ''protein'' choice - the fried chicken strips have more fat and carbs in them than the grilled chicken option)_

For example,
- The Grilled Market Salad w/ Grilled Filet contains 540 kCal, and from that 540 total,
- The Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette Dressing contains by itself 230 kCal spread through 19g fat, 15g carbs and 0.2g proteins.

Remove or change the dressing and you can reduce the kCal content down to nearly 310 kCal that includes 12g Fat, 26g Carbs, *_28g of proteins_*

When McDonald's still offered Salads _(seems they removed them since 2020!)_ I'd often go with the Greek Variety, Grilled Chicken, and go for the Balsamic Vinegar dressing - it was very rich in proteins, moderate in fats and low in carbs, on top of having lots of fiber. Most of the fat and carbs were in that dressing, but that dressing was the ''healthier'' dressing out of all of them, with the Caesar dressing being the worst

You can usually (depending on the location) order beef patties by themselves. What I'll do is order a McDouble (McDonald's cheapest burger) and 3 or 4 additional patties on the side. Still not an ideal meal but works in a pinch.

I had no idea Chick-fil-A make grilled chicken. When I travel, I just try to avoid them because I thought they only make fried chicken.

Overall calories and protein certainly are key, just keeping these in mind allows for a more flexible fun life 😊 That's how I enjoy Chinese food here in China too without overeating 👌 Greetings from a Swede in Beijing 🌆☀️

Chickfila and Chipotle are by far the best fast food options. You can also do an unwich at Jimmy Johns or protein style at in n out.

You should do a part 2! I live in Europe and the only chain in this video that I can get is McDonalds. You should do Burger King, Subway, and other big chains that aren’t just in America

Would love to see a video on smoothie restaurants like Tropical Smoothie Cafe or Smoothie King. So many of them are 500 calories of sugar and people think that they’re really healthy.

If order takeaway (UK) i tend to go for the chicken kebab. I love it, feel satiated & never feel guilty or get that food hangover/bloat. Win win!

Thank you this was super helpful! I love that you acknowledge that it is okay to have junk food but to be smarter about. Most people say to stay away from it but realistically u crave it and cannot stay away

``A McDonald's 'solution' I use sometimes is getting two Hamburger Happy Meals then put both burger patties on one un to make it a double burger, I choose the apple slices instead of fries and get milk instead of a soda, I feel pretty good with this meal, and it's filling.Taco Bell used to offer a 'fresco' version of their foods, which was only made by special request as I recall, this means they leave off any fat-filled sauces, so it's just the basic ingredients.

I absolutely love this video! I think fast food is so confusing about what’s healthy and everyone assumes vegetarian options and salads are always the healthiest which isn’t true.

I also eat Chick-fil-A a lot because I’m really busy and let’s be real it’s delicious. My go to order used to be the sandwich meal with fries and a sweet tea and I would use Chick-fil-A sauce. I now order just a water and a sandwich with no sauce and I’ve lost weight without even trying or feeling deprived.

The calorie count on the salads at chick-fil-a include the chicken nuggets, dressing, and tortilla chips/peppita seeds. If you are doing the salad alone, you’re probably around 350-400 calories. I travel for work a lot and these salads are one of my go-to. If you add the nuggets and a healthy dressing, you sit at around 600-700 and it’s much more filling than their sandwiches and/or nuggets alone.
