Recipe

Whisk
Bread flour 4 cups (dry measuring cup)
Fast Rising Yeast 2 1/4 teaspoon
Light brown sugar 2 tablespoons
Salt 1 1/2 teaspoons

Liquid measuring cup
Oil 1/4 cups
Warm water 1 1/2 cups
Stir and then add flour to dry countertop and kneed until smooth.

Oil bowl and place dough cover with cling wrap and wait until double in size about 1 hour ( home warm or put near a warm area).

Preheat oven 450°F
Don't bunch dough. Cut with dough cutter, pizza cutter/ sharp chef knife.
Roll out and do pretzel twist (don't ask just watch the video 😂)
Bowl water and baking soda needs look cloudy dip dough and put on tray.
Eggwash.

Next up to you.
Salted pretzel add coarse salt.

Cinammon sugar then I would bake with just eggwash. When comes out let cool until warm and then cover with cinammon sugar.

holy shit i literally can’t believe how GORGEOUS THEY TURNED OUT i’m amazed by your freaking make it so nonchalantly and look so easy like i was born to make delicious shit TALENT!
i have two kids and not including helping my mom cook in child friendly increments, ive been cooking for 20 years now or so for myself and family and ME in the kitchen doing this exact same thing looks like…oh a homeless lady with messed up hair and all the crap for the recipe EVERYWHERE having to pull out the recipe for every single step, second guessing myself and having to look another time or ten before committing to the step i’m on and never knowing when it’s REALLY actually DONE and when it’s all over i’ve got about six hours of “i hate myself”
cleaning to do and then i still have to
shower and change after that because my clothes look like i just built a house in a dust storm.
so yeah im fascinated and in awe.
and i say this as a girl who makes tortillas several times a week my whole adult life, makes my own sauces from scratch, pie crusts cookie’s and cobblers from scratch, salsa never not in my fridge etc. still as described above every single time.

for anyone else wondering (i googled it 😂)
the REASON you dip it in the baking soda water bath: is 🥁 🥁 🥁

to give it that golden coppery color and the crisp outer crust and soft texture inside.
