Russia-Ukraine War: US Sending Secretly Acquired Soviet Weapons To Kyiv To Fight Putin’s Forces

The US is sending Soviet-era air defence systems to Ukraine that will help Kyiv fight Russian forces. The Pentagon acquired the Soviet weapons decades ago through a secret program, as per The Wall Street Journal. The US military reportedly obtained the weapons systems for intelligence analysis and training purposes. The weapons will be useful for Ukrainian forces, as they know how to use Soviet military equipment, as per reports.

They acquired a huge number Soviet era weapon systems after the Soviet Union collapsed. The Russians went home and abandoned most of their equipment. It was hurriedly tested in the run up to desert storm against US forces to learn its capabilities. Lol. I know this as my unit serves as targets for testing the radars at a range in southern Germany
