Days after USA admitted that it secretly sent ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, Russia claimed to have shot down at least six of the weapons over Crimea. Just like the HIMARS projectiles, the ATACMS ballistic missiles are GPS guided and the Russians apparently are very good at jamming GPS signals. So they either send the missiles off target or just blow them up in the sky. NATO thought fighting Russia in Ukraine would be the same as fighting lesser armies in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Russian weapons systems are cheap, low maintenance, effective against well trained and funded armies and deliver results unlike west which are expensive, high maintenance, effective only on civilian population or enemies who fight on horse backs and swords.
