Ukraine fired long-range U.S. missiles inside Russia for the first time despite Moscow’s threats of retaliation. The attack hit an ammunition storage facility near the Russian city of Karachev and is the first such assault to use long-range, NATO-made arms.

WSJ’s Alistair MacDonald explains why the Kremlin sees this as a major escalation.

"How dare you fight back after we invaded your territories, spent three years destroying your people and cities, raping and robbing you, launching hundreds of Iranian and Korean missiles at you, and inviting 12 000 North Korean meat with us! This is too much and escalating!" - Pootin, the master of "red lines"

Maybe the real red lines were the friends we made along the way

No wonder Biden was all smiles when meeting with Trump.

He’s already stated that they are “fighting all of NATO”, so why is it a problem now all of a sudden?

Just so everyone knows, Putin’s previous red lines that were violated (and he threatened nuclear war for) were: NATO countries supplying lethal aid to Ukraine (violated in 2022), NATO supplying long range weapons (violated in 2022-2023), attacks on Russian annexed territories (violated in 2022), any attempt to retake Crimea (violated in 2022-2024), attacks on Russia’s Black Sea fleet (violated in 2022-2024), NATO countries supplying main battle tanks (violated in 2023), NATO supplying Patriot missile systems (violated in 2023), any attack on Russian territory (violated 2023-2024), NATO delivering F-16 aircraft (violated 2024), ATACMS strikes near Russian border (violated 2024), and now ATACMS strikes in Russian territory. It’s almost like Putin’s red lines mean nothing

190 miles is not long range, it's not even mid range, ATACMS is a tactical short range missile.

So, here’s an estimation of things we can understand by this move
1. The situation for Ukraine must be getting desperate and the US allies must understand that so they gave the permission to strike Russian territory with ATACMS

2. NATO is actively participating in the war since Ukraine cannot target nor give coordinates to missiles where to hit as both systems require satellite targeting so yes technically NATO is involved heavily

3.Russia is shouting it will use nuclear arms to the point where people start to stop believing it.This will be a major mistake since Russia has a nuclear arsenal and if pushed enough they will use it as any other country would.

4. I don’t understand why there is such a huge push for Ukraine to join nato..it’s like Mexico joining the Russian alliance and placing Russian Missiles at the US border..if you’re dumb enough to think that America would decimate Mexico the next hour like they did to Cuba you’re just plain stupid..all of this is happening to back Russia into a corner..but the one who has his back against the wall gets desperate and you never know what a desperate man will do
