I done seen a lot of Rose tutorials (even the awesome Kara KAkE Couture) but this is by far THE best one I have seen. The Best.

I’ve practiced and made 4 in the last 2 weeks. While they weren’t bad at all for my first time—your video reiterated what I was telling myself...”don’t over think this”. It’s a flower and in nature all flowers are beautifully with different ‘characteristics’.

And this is true even...in their own family groups.

That rose is just beautiful and with nothing but simplistic procedural application.

So often we watch others and try and recreate THEIR creativity not trusting our own. I had my idea to make it pretty as I envision my rose to look. But I was determined to go by the ‘book’.

I am doing this again tonight and I am SO excited about it.

Watching you I did realize one of my errors which created a ‘slight bulk’ at the base and that’s—not turning my petals slightly as I inserted them in the ‘inside’ of the last’.

Hope that made sense.
