Rebekah discusses your questions related to lipedema and nutrition. Is the keto diet good for lipedema? What should I eat if I have lipedema? What not to eat with lipedema? How much fat should I eat? What is a good lipedema diet? She shares her experience, the importance of exploring food sensitivities, and what worked to help her lose more than 100 pounds and improve her lipedema and lymphedema symptoms.

Remember to work with your own care team to figure out what will work best for you. Rebekah is not a doctor or a nutritionist and this is solely her experience. Your body is different.

The only three things that keep it in check is i eat once a day and keep it keto with regular daily excercise. Alcohol is the worst thing i can do to myself.

just celebrated my 5th keto-versary this month! lost 110 pounds over 2 years - slower than most and on purpose to really just make 1 change at a time and make it a habbit before changing something else. Then I maintained for almost 3 years, and 2 months ago I stopped dairy and almond flour and lost 15 more pounds! crazy! there are so many versions of keto and so many options and more recipes available than you will ever have time to try! my goal was to try 1 new recipe per week. keeps it interesting and adventurous! keto has given me freedom from 27 health issues! including type 2 diabetes and low thyroid! I'm never hungry and never have cravings because I actually give my body the nourishment it needs, all while out-eating the men in my house! haha! I just can't imagine ever going back to my old life! keto for life!❤🎉

Thank you for taking the time for answering our questions. I did fill out your questionnaire. I found your info really helpful . I have been dancing around Keto for eons, now my beloved daughter with Down Syndrome was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes so no more messing around. I am so grateful for your easygoing style. I hope to have both of us on a healthy path . I use organic grass fed Tallow for cooking, it allows whatever you are cooking to taste so delicious… thank you so much again!!

Thank you for sharing that the scale might not reflect what is happening in the body. Yesterday I was weighed at the doctor’s office and it was the same number as 3 months ago. I wanted to cry it was so humiliating. However, 3 months ago I wore a size 38G bra, 18 pants, and a 1X shirt. Yesterday I was wearing a size 34G bra (loose), size 14 pants, and a size L shirt (loose). Bless you for caring about people like me.

Rebekah, I think that you are going to get many responses after this video.
If you haven't checked into Dr Ken Berry (carnivore) and Dr Eric Westman (keto), I suggest that you do because they are very knowledgeable and supportive.

thank you for sharing this. I’ve been on keto for 4 years, currently carnivore and feel great. I started keto to lose weight and prevent diabetes. I’ve just figured out I probably have Lipoedema but not diagnosed. I’m a 62 yo nurse and always wondered about my strange adipose disposition that doesn’t go away, my sensitivity to pain and other symptoms. It makes sense now. Keto has helped a lot, but my adipose is still resistant in places.

I tried keto. I hated it and didn’t lose any weight. I do better with losing weight by low calories. I never knew there was a diagnosis for my tender cellulite arms and legs. My insurance doesn’t cover anything for diet/weight loss but I’m going to talk to my dr about lipedema. Thanks for info!

on my 5 year keto journey I have regularly eaten these fruits: berries (approx 1/4 cup a day of blueberries or strawberries or raspberries or blackberries), lemon, lime, avocado, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper (yes, those are all scientifically classified as fruit)

Thank you Rebekah for sharing your experience and information. I was never medically diagnosed with lipedema but the more I learn about it, there is no doubt that I do have it. And I agree with you and now it makes more sense than ever why diets never worked for me until I stumbled upon the keto and carnivore diet. They are the only diets that i see my body react to, But unfortunately I don't see that the adipose clumps really go away and maybe the only way to intervene on them is surgically.
I currently take supplements to help the lymphatic system which I see help with heaviness and pain And I just hope that by combining food, supplements, dry brushing, vibrating plate it doesn't get worse over time...

Monk fruit doesn't spike your insulin. I use Monk fruit and erythrotol mixture that my grocery store carries. What I used for two weeks to get over the sugar cravings in the evening was a cup of coffee with a small piece of 90% cocao bar (Lindt) tbls of butter, heavy cream and a tsp of monk fruit. Tastes like hot chocolate and really helped me alot.

I ended up having weight loss surgery not knowing I had this condition. Needless to say my legs did not go down but got bigger. I had many sad moments wondering why others lost the weight and I did not. Got diagnosed last year for lipedema

Yay! I am going to try this, only because I have a lot of allergies to eggs and dairy, when I was a kid, growing up. Thank you for sharing!

Hello Rebekah, you look well 😊 😘 sending you big virtual hugs and cuddles xx. I have never done Keto. I just eat everything in moderation and follow 80/20 rule.. I drink plenty of water, walk and use vibration plate, use pheumatic pump and do dry brushing.. One size does not fit all. We just have to find what suits you.. I love my fruit and vegetables and whole grains, nuts 😅😊💋

Thank you very much for your video. The first time I did Keto, I lost weight and the pain in my legs disappeared 95%. But I wanted to stop keto for 2 months, and my pain returned and I regained more weight that I had lost. I went back to keto but unfortunately, the pain no longer wants to go away and there is no weight loss. But, I style stay on keto.😊

Fat helps with absorption of so many essential nutrients - including vitamin D and A which can really help reduce inflammation. Fat has a place 😊 I really enjoyed this video. Thank you! ❤ Any chance you could do a brief Here’s What At Eat in A Day type video?

Hello! Thank you for your testimonies, it really helped me look for more information and realizing I suffer from lipedema since I was 13! I'm having a 500 food sensitivities test today so I can look for a nutritionist and change my whole life afterwards. ❤

I agree with your diet! I also do Keto/carnivore and avoid seed oils, especially soy! I’m down 45 pounds and have hit a stall. I’ve heard so many people say that dairy is an issue for them with lipedema. I love cheese, but I think I’m going to have to kick it to the curb. Also, wondering if you’ve ever collaborated with Siobhan Huggins? She’s done a lot with lipedema and recently did a video with Dr Ken Berry. Great info!

What supplements do you take besides the collagen and electrolytes that help with lipedema?
