The Riverside County Sheriff's Department released bodycam video showing the moments leading up to a deputy shooting and killing a man armed with what the department says was a 6-inch meat cleaver.

He didn't want to go back to jail, so the officer gave him a trip to the morgue. Maybe in the next lifetime he'll do better.

Unjustified. The officer made the man defend himself by being aggressive for no crime that was committed in his presence, the guy was just on the wrong side of the road for safety purposes by the looks of it. The officer tried to force his compliance even when the guy tried to leave after no crime & then had to defend himself after the officer got physical.

The officer stated in his report that the man had a warrant but i seriously doubt he knew there was a warrant prior to the shooting, hes just using that to make him look better in court.

Looking at this video carefully he lifted his hand with a knife then the officer drew his weapon, then the guy put his hands down the officer had plenty of space between them he could have ordered him down one last time, seems the officer was quick to pull the trigger, now if he was charging at the officer then he should have opened fire but the guy dropped his hands and even turned when he saw the gun but the officer still fired !

This cop was able to defend themself thank God. Imagine this useless criminal stabbing unarmed people walking on the street minding their own business. This cop is keeping the community safe 🥳

I understand he had a warrant but the reason for the stop was really unnecessary if anything and the cop was aggressive from the start, even when the guy was putting his kickstand on his bike down to talk, you can tell the office puts his hand on his firearm. No deescalation tactics at all, justified because he agitated the guy and baited him into that situation, but definitely not a morally good one where lives were in immediate danger. RSC obviously needs better training.

Cop needs to be trained on de-escalation and how to interact with other humans 😂. Was the crime worth the outcome? I’m sure the cop was orgasming at being able to use his baton and service weapon
