A 90-minute video released by the Menard County Sheriff's Office shows former Sangamon County sheriff's deputy Sean Grayson being booked on July 17, the day he was indicted in the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey on July 6. A judge on Friday ruled Grayson would remain in jail. His attorneys had asked for him to be released and placed on electronic monitoring.

Sadly, that little lady was probably safer with a burglar in the house than that cop.

Only a demon would consider being rebuked in the name of Jesus to be a threat.

He is not acting like a traumatized cop who had no other choice but to shoot in a dangerous situation. His calm & casual demeanor *after killing someone* is frightening.

Still arrogant at the jail saying he hopes to be out "tomorrow." He's an awful human being.

The Springfield PD must be held accountable for hiring this lunatic after his history revealed a trail of job firings. 😅😅

Pretty sure if you get kicked out of the military that disqualify's you from being able to go into law enforcement... which brings up the question I've yet to have answered. Who did the background check and how the hell did they miss that?

The fact that he's casual talking about being released the next day is mind-blowing.

Someone needs to be held accountable for allowing a dishonorably discharged soldier to become a police officer

Dollar Store interview; "You have a misdemeanor, we can't hire you."

Police Departments; "You have a violent history. You're hired."

This was straight up murder. The cop should not even been inside of her home. Poor lady.

I don't see how an armed and trained man his size would honestly fear for his life from a woman in a nightgown

How is it even possible for a twice-convicted criminal to get a job as a police officer???

He's so distanced from reality still, talking about being in jail for "his own safety"? No you're in jail for murdering an innocent woman! This guy can't get any worse.. Please don't ever let this monster out..

So he already feels like he's going to get away with murder...😢

You'd think that law enforcement agencies across the country would be scrutinizing the records of the people they employ, at least just to cover their own butts.

"After being discharged from the Army for serious misconduct and a history of driving under the influence, Grayson was employed since 2020 by six Illinois law enforcement agencies – at three of them, as a part-time officer, employment records show.
Grayson is part of what law enforcement officials and experts call America’s legion of “wandering officers” who drift from police department to police department – sometimes even after having been fired, forced to resign or convicted of a crime."

Sonya rebuked him in The name of Jesus, and then the officer started cursing and threatening her. Demonic manifestation. I believe Sonya could sense the evil inside this man.

He had an attitude on the porch before coming inside. Should never have been given a badge & gun.
