What Is The Best Starter Pokemon? What is up my Eryibros and have you ever wondered what is the best Hoenn starter pokemon? Choosing a Starter is always the most important and pivotal decision to make for your journey. Of course there is no right or wrong decision on what starter to pick, but there is definitely a BEST pokemon to pick that would benefit you the most. So today I and Zelda will help you guys make the right decision on what statistically is the best Hoenn starter. But since it would take ages to go through all 6 regions at once I will be splitting this into 6 parts. Today we are going to take a look at the Hoenn region. Although my favorite starter of Hoenn is indeed torchic, I think I agree with the comment section. Mudkip did the best performance in this playthrough

Swampert can easily block the grass and dragons with ice type moves like Ice beam so....WHAT!?

Mudkip is hands down the best starter in Hoenn, in my opinion. I’ve played all three versions over and over, sticking by Mudkip and this Pokemon is a champ. Swampert is a beast and I’ve never had issues with any of the gym leaders or the elites. The water + ground + ice moves make for a deadly combo.

But having said that, it’s still a very close call among all three Hoenn starters. I’d be just as content with a Treecko or a Torchic. Unlike Kanto or Johto where I wouldn’t go anywhere near Bulbasaur or Chikorita. And in my opinion, these three remain the best set of starters in Pokemon history.

I agree with every pokemon being equal but you have to agree that mudkip is the best starter, in fact, hes so good, you can beat the game just using mudkip
