What is up my Eryibros and have you ever wondered what is the best starter? Choosing a Starter is always the most important and pivotal decision to make for your journey. Of course there is no right or wrong decision on what starter to pick, but there is definitely a BEST pokemon to pick that would benefit you the most.So today I and axellian will help you guys make the right decision on what statistically is the best starter. But since it would take ages to go through all 6 regions at once I will be splitting this into 6 parts. Today we are going to do the generation that started it all Kanto. Bulbasaur is the my favorite, everyone in my school always I was dumb cuz o choose Bulbasaur, but they are the one that was dumb, thanks for the video

You make very good points about Bulbasaur in this vid, and you highlighted why it is my personal favorite of the Kanto starters. However, I think the one thing you probably should have mentioned is that Bulbasaur struggles against your rival more than the other two starters. That should be natural, since your rival picks the starter yours is weak against, but your rival catches a Pidgey in your second battle and then an Abra in your third, which become Pidgeotto and Kadabra in your fourth battle, so for the first four battles, the only Pokémon your rival has that doesn't have a type advantage over Bulbasaur is your rival's Ratatta/Raticate. It gets worse in the final battle for the championship when your rival has a Pidgeot, Alakazam, Exeggutor, and Charizard. Venusaur isn't nearly as effective as Gyarados as an Electric type, so the only member of your Rival's final team that it shines against is Rhydon. That being said though, I still love Bulbasaur and would chose him over Charmander any day. I just feel like this should be mentioned.

That's just so crazy, I chose bulbasaur as my Gen 1 starter when it's the least popular.

You missed another reason Bulbasaur is the best, he is immune to being poisoned. In the Viridian forest that is incredibly helpful, as that means you can reliably sub out weaker long term plans for the starter without worrying that the weedle will poison you.

Squirtle is my favourite, I just prefer to use water types; I've always felt bad for the starter that's left on the table

I like how they had to do this vid despite the fact that even the devs stated that Bulbasaur was the best choice for an easier journey.

This was Gamefreak's way of making an easy, normal, and hard mode based on the starter you chose. In the old Red/Blue instruction manual, they straight out told you that Bulbasaur would be the best choice for beginners (which is why I chose him on my very first play through ever in red/blue).
