Arenas in Terraria are extremely important, especially when boss fights get much harder in hardmode. A good Arena design could truly make a difficult boss fight a breeze if you know how to use it well. That's why I'm here to show you an easy simple step-by-step arena building guide. This arena is straightforward and easy, but also decked out with lots of boosts such as campfires, heart lanterns and sunflowers. It also features a simple lava trap to help you out with invasions!

Pro Tip: Use slopes to make it easier to get in and out of the honey pits. What I do is I make the honey pit itself one block wide, then slope the two blocks adjacent to it inward. This prevents you from getting trapped and has the added benefit of only requiring 1 bucket of honey, but does take up three blocks of horizontal space on the top of your platforms (although, if you're only using honey pits as the only solid blocks in your arena, it technically takes up less space than two blocks without slopes).

If you want you can also place peace candles, they are Made with gold/platinum bar and pink torch, which is Made with pink gel, they also reduce enemy spawnrates, which is very useful if you hate monsters attacking you in boss battles

I find using asphalt a better alternative for the base level for the speed bonus, wiring up star and heart statues if you find them also is a good idea

Now in 1.4 you can also add Bast Statues to give you an extra 5 defense I think

A better way to use honey would be to use bubble blocks since they hold the liquid but you can can still pass thru it

I used this arena design as a base to make a super arena in my only successful master mode world. Thanks for inspiring the creation of that. I recently revisited that world to review the modifications I made to the arena and got hit hard by nostalgia when I realized just how much work I had put into the world compared to my current run

Awesome video! I also recommend placing garden gnome statues for more luck and bast statues for added defense. The luck helps with getting rare drops and has a minor impact on damage I think. The bast statues defense is self-explanatory. You could also use asphalt for the solid blocks if you have them unlocked so that you can run faster.

Underrated tip. Don’t have too many pets or potion buffs active during boss fights with arenas like this, as you can only have 22 in total and going over that amount will actually cancel your earliest buff.
