How to use the Ring doorbell with the Echo Dot.

In this video I show you how to use the Ring Doorbell with the Amazon Echo dot.

I show you how the Echo will automatically alert you when someone presses the doorbell. I also show you the Alexa commands you need so you can talk t the person at the door.

I demonstrate how to set this all up using the Alexa app. This will work on IOS (apple) devices as well as on Android.

Followed all the guidelines however although successfully linked my echo dot doesn't make a sound when ring is pressed, any ideas? Settings are setup correctly also

If accounts are already linked (likely during setup), this is very confusing. Ultimately, find the Camera in Divises and make sure 'DOORBELL PRESSED ANNOUNCEMENTS' is switched on.

Hi there my echo dot says your alexa enabled device doesn't currently support this I used your video to set ot up I wonder of you have any trouble shooting tips for my issue? I have contacted amazon but they were less than helpful

I wish you could choose the same ring that comes out the door bell for the echo’s.

Sadly iv done all in the video and everything shows correctly but still the devices done ring when they ring the doorbell and many times we don't even know some1 is outside cause we don't hear the door bell from the alexas 🥺

Hi.
I can't seem to get the Alexa App to show my Ring Doorbell V2 live feed.
The chime etc works, just not the live vid.
The screen in Alexa sits there spinning it's wheels, but I see nothing. However, when I open the Ring App, I can see that it was recording the live feed in Ring, but not showing it in Alexa.
Any ideas?

Hi, I have a Ring Doorbell Pro 2 and the echo dot 4th gen, I can get the notifications with no issues but when I try to "talk to the front door" it just does not work. The dot says "OK" but does nothing, the green light does not come up, how do you enable the mic?

I've got a problem that once I'm speaking to front door Alexa won't disconnect no matter what command I give so the whole street can hear me!
