This was helpful. The Neighborhood feature was driving me nuts, as it encompassed an area originally with about 150, 000 people. I do not need to know every time someone in my city loses their cat. So, I was able to just adjust it to my block and the few surrounding. Much better

My parents aren’t super tech savvy and every extra step is an inconvenience. I would like to be able to set up a custom “status” such as Home_1 and Home_2 where home1 mutes notifications while home and home2 allows for notifications while home. Because as it stands there’s really no difference between Home and Away.

One MAJOR disadvantage is that when a sensor is triggered there is no alert sent as a text message to phones....only email. For example, water/freeze sensor is triggered by a leaking water heater...user does not immediately get a text message on phone...only 12 hours later discovers the problem when reading emails.

The app has the sophistication to tell you if it's a person detected, the notification settings should also have this feature where I only get chime and notification when the AI detects a person, I still want it to detect motion and log those videos to the cloud but in terms of my phone notifications I only only only only want person detection alerts.

My notification snapshot seems to be a few seconds prior to the motion activity. My snapshot is just of my front porch and driveway and not of the actual motion event. How can I get it to send the snapshot a few seconds later so that I can see in the snapshot what is causing the motion event?

Is there a way to only get phone notifications for motion detection on my cameras only when my ring alarm is set to away mode. When I am home and there is a motion detection o don't want notifications as I will get lots with kids coming and going....I JUST want notifications when alarm is set to away /armed. Thanks!
