In this video, we show the basics of cryptology (cryptology = cryptography and cryptanalysis).

This first video in a series about cryptology gives an overview of the basic terminology. It explains what is a cipher, what is ciphertext and plaintext, what are substitution ciphers, transposition ciphers and composed ciphers, and how to use them in CrypTool 2.

I built a split to text within my own custom Vigenere template using your Vigenere & split to text templates. It makes it much easier than copy/pasting to the split to text template. A video on showing how people can do that would be nice. Good exercise in component manipulation which is a big part of the program. Your videos are awesome but there's nothing like getting in there and getting your hands dirty with practical application. Been learning a lot the past few days. Your videos are extremely helpful! Very slick program. One suggestion I have for the Vigenere Analyzer is the ability to add a key suggestion that it will manually do during it's automated analysis, if you have a guess at the key. If there is a way to do that I don't know, perhaps another video topic? For example in the Vigenere analysis template the key is SECRETKEY. There is no way to suggest that it checks for that key as part of it's routine as a manual guess. If you alter the settings it's possible that it will never find SECRETKEY as the actual key even though you might have a good idea that's the key to use.

I’m studying python to be able to understand the concepts of different things around the space my question is the way I understand cryptocurrency is basically you can build and sign your own transactions and then submit them though the blockchain? I’m I understanding this correctly?? Also if I’m understanding things you can also basically set it up where the trans is not showing on the chain?? Thank you sir!! 💯👍
