In this video, we show the basics of cryptology (cryptology = cryptography and cryptanalysis).

This video here gives an introduction to cryptographic hash functions. First, hash functions and cryptographic hash functions are described. Then, we show some applications of cryptographic hash functions followed by some examples of cryptographic hash functions.

In CrypTool 2, we show different cryptographic hash functions (like MD5 and SHA-3). Then, we show different attacks on hash functions, e.g. a collision attack on MD5 and a collision of SHA-1. Also, we show how a dictionary attack works.

These videos are honestly amazing - I'm doing a MSc in cyber security and Cryptography was a mandatory module. I'm learning most of my content from this channel :D

Thanks for video. At 13:30 where you showed the difference in bits, not all changed bits are highlighted. I think you should use "show different symbols" instead of "show only differences"

Awesome as usual. One question: you will talk about Argon2, PBKDF2, Bcrypt, Chacha and other kind that observe cost and paralelism?
