In this video, we show the basics of cryptology (cryptology = cryptography and cryptanalysis).

This video here shows what a perfect cipher is and discusses how the one-time pad works. Also, as a fun part we show how to construct a perfect Caesar cipher - with arguable practical usage :-)

Finally, we show the one-time pad in CrypTool 2. Here, we also present how you can create arbritrary plaintext messages using "wrong" one-time pads and what happens, when you encrypt two different plaintexts using the same one-time pad (what you should never do!).
