Baptism is a pretty big deal in the Christian church. Jesus said, "Go and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19). So if you're a new believer, when should you get baptized?

This made me feel a lot better. I plan on getting baptized this evening with family present and I feel a force of some sort trying to put doubt in me, telling me I’m not ready. I had a very clear conversation with the lord for the first time in my life Saturday when I asked him in a prayer to lead me to what he has to say to me through the Bible, the verse I landed on was Matthew chapter 3. I read to the end of Matthew for the first time ever reading the Bible and it was a very clear sign to get baptized and read more of the Bible. Thank you

Many profess to be saved, but don't possess the Holy Spirit! And I would run from this page!

Agree! In the bible people get baptised the same day as coming to Jesus! We should aim to follow this in line with Jesus’ example.

I was justified/saved years and years ago but was never baptized... should I still get baptized even though I have been following God for a long time now?

I have a question my friend is dealing with demonic spirit and the pastor said she can’t get baptized until the demons left her body completely . So is that true?

Philip said to the eunuch if you believe you can. Acts 8:37. Salvation came first, then one was baptized. You see in each case in Acts aswell: saved first then baptized. In one of your replys to someone you liken baptism to being saved. This is not the case.

Water baptism happens because someone has been saved. Water baptism doesn't save.
The recent coronation happened because Charles is now the King. The coronation didn't make Charles the King. Charles became the King when his mother - Queen Elizabeth the Second - died.
A coronation for William or George would be nonsense as neither of them are King.
